Love this place! The food is great and the workers are extremely friendly. Great place to go for carry out or dine in. Highly recommend!
Very good food and service. Highly recommended.
We love the weekend brunch hours. Regular menu is available and they open early.
I was in the area last week and decided I'd stop in and try. Ever since trying birria for the first time a few months ago, I've been looking to try it again at a location closer to home. I knew Mi Pueblo offered it, so I was on a mission lol.
This restaurant is right across the street from an elementary school and shares a building with the lovely Ryland Pike Farmer's Market. The inside is fairly spacious and looks clean, including the restroom.
They have a fairly large menu of typically American favorites like fajitas and chimichangas, as well as items closer to Mexican street food like lengua and street corn.
As I said, I was in the market for birria, so I ordered the three birria tacos. They don't come with any sides so I added on a side of rice. Complementary chips and salsa were served shortly after I sat down.
Overall, the food was okay. These birria tacos were not nearly as good as the ones I had a few months ago but they were still enjoyable. I thought the cheese was extra gooey and the pull was awesome haha, though the meat on these was a little tougher and more pot roast-like than the other version I had. I didn't like the rice -- it was super cilantro-y, to the point I thought someone had put cleaning chemicals in my food until I realized that was just my anti-cilantro tastebud gene showing up. The salsa was good and the chips were decent though a little weirdly sweet.
The main detractor was the service. My waiter didn't do a bad job in terms of attitude or speed of food delivery, but...he made me kind of uncomfortable, which is not something I say lightly because I understand everyone is different and has different social skills.
He wasn't an outstanding English speaker but spoke plenty enough for us to talk. He asked me a LOT of questions after I sat down: my name, where I came from, where I worked -- I vaguely said at a school and then he asked which school. After he went to get my drink and tell the kitchen my order I got up to go wash my hands and use the restroom. On my way back from the restroom, he stopped me again and asked me how old I was (an answer he received with shock when he realized I was a year older than him), and then if I was seeing anyone. I said I was married and then he asked for how long! And then, tellingly enough, once that was out of the way, I never saw him again until I was leaving the restaurant -- I had to get my check and pay by hunting someone else down. I won't say I felt unsafe or anything, but it was just strange and uncomfortable!
All in all, the food wasn't really good enough for me to consider coming back for another awkward encounter, but perhaps if you came in a group you'd have a better time, lol. The food was decent!

The guacamole was tiny for 6.50 and there was virtuallyno queso on the taco salad. Food was average.

Food was just “eh” at best. No alcohol on site. Hard to enjoy chips and salsa without a margarita ?. Staff was very friendly
I don’t know where to start—this place is amazing! The food was fresh and authentic, hands down the best Mexican cuisine I've ever had. I'm so disappointed we live far away, or I'd be here every single day. Definitely highly recommend you check them out. You won't be disappointed!
