My son, ex and I all grabbed dinner tonight. First time at this place. As someone who doesn’t eat land animals, I was very disappointed with my options. I opted for a shrimp and avocado salad, my son had an Italian sub and my ex a Greek goddess salad. The two salads were DROWNING in dressing. The dressing on the shrimp salad was disgusting. The salad was essentially inedible. Since we had come in close to closing, 6:40 pm (who closes at 7pm?), there wasn’t time to reorder. I should have asked for a refund but I ended up eating the shrimp and tomatoes out of the salad. My ex returned his and got a refund as he wasn’t even willing to try it. My son ended up eating half of his sandwich but felt the sauce on it was bad. It was a very disappointing meal, we all left hungry and unsatisfied. I don’t know if this is how these item are typically made but we will never be back.

While on our day date my wife and I stopped in for a bite. Be prepared to take a few steps as it is located in a shopping center and the parking lot is shared. My wife who loves Pizza Chef in Florence says that her sub was equally desired from Newks. I vied for the spicy shrimp pizza with cauliflower crust. (The crust was a little darker than desired). Options for sugar free drinks were diet Coke, diet Dr. Pepper, and Splenda sweet tea with. We started with the tea and quickly switched to the soda options. Overall we enjoyed our first visit and the service was commendable. We will definitely visit Newk's in the future if the Lord allows.

Went after church. Should have expected the chaotic atmosphere of kids and families. Got the half sandwich (ham and Swiss) and chicken tortilla soup. Both were very good. 4 stars for service because the dining area was not very well maintained and several chairs we tried were broken.

I placed an online order and picked it up from around the job site. I was working on. We used to have two in Birmingham, I remember now why I loved it so much! Great sandwich and it was ready when I walked in the door! Highly recommend this place!
Update, forgot to mention this is one of the Huntsville locations on university Drive near the Alabama campus.

It's so got down hot in that store on University Drive in Huntsville, Alabama! It was just as bad or worse last summer! I and several other complained!! The food is great but when you have to sweat harder dining in the restaurant than you do as a warehouse worker, Something is bad WRONG!! If the owner don't care how miserable the employees are, he should consider his paying customers comfort! I can't stand it! Maybe the owner should come in and work a 40 hour week with the temperature outside on an 80 to 90 degree day! Maybe he could work the pizza oven! I used to do that back in the 80's! That's a hot job! Please do better by your staff and customers! Nobody should be miserable eating lunch!
