My family ordered our usual vegetarian takeout. After eating about half our meal, we discovered meat all in the bottom of it! Similar to many Indians, it goes against our belief system to eat meat. It was very traumatic for us all. I called to speak to the manager multiple times, and he would never come to the phones. At the very least, we should've been refunded. We've supported Ruchi for many years. I'm very disappointed in their management. We have not been back since.

Came with some family members for my birthday, and as we pulled up, saw someone lock the door, and run to the back. I even made eye contact with the person inside when he came out to grab something. When I called, no one answered. The hours on the door, the website and their Facebook all said that they were open. I haven't been back since and don't plan on returning. I make the drive from Decatur JUST to eat here and it's usually worth it, but if that's how I'm gonna be treated, they can forget about my business. Go to the Indian Kitchen. They're cheaper and a lot nicer.

Amazing range of flavors, from the naan to curry and biryani. I had chicken, my wife had lamb, both were large enough servings to have leftovers for lunch the next day. Will definitely return !

Fresh, delicious traditional Indian dishes, with ample portions served. Each entree had unique flavors, sauces were creamy and tangy but not overly spicy. The Peshwari naan and varied vegetarian curries were especially delicious. The restaurant was a very casual, average diner-style establishment, but was clean and perfect for a savory lunch! Our server was friendly and attentive and we will definitely go back soon!

This was a tough place to review. The food was good, but not fantastic. The service was great, but the decor/ambience was pretty much nonexistent. I might be spoiled because I'm from Nashville and we have some great Indian restaurants here, but I had high hopes for a bit more ambience. On the food side, we left very full and the food was flavorful. However I will probably have to return to sample more of the menu to truly get a good representation of the quality of that flavor. On the plus side, The restaurant was about 3/4 full... So there is certainly interest in this kind of cuisine in Huntsville. I just hope they upped their game a little bit and make it a little bit more authentic visually. That goes a long way for me.

Easily the best Indian fare in town. I lived in Los Angeles for 10 years, where I was surrounded by excellent Indian cuisine. Ruchi is equal to, or even better than, many of the Indian restaurants in the 2nd largest metropolis in the US. My favorites here are the veggie samosas, garlic naan, and chicken korma. Have never had a bad dish here, and the servers are very friendly. Delicious, authentic flavor profiles and reasonable prices for the large portion size.

It's the best Indian food in Alabama. All other Indian establishments are a distant second in my humble opinion. The service is warm, friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. The order was taken promptly and during our meal our glasses never went below half.It makes the experience special when the staff is attentive and the meal is paced correctly.THE FOOD:The spice quotient on every dish was perfect,as requested.Dinner started with veggie samosas($4.99) hot from the fryer The tamarind and the corriander dipping sauces was a nice finish. The Chicken 65 ($9.99) was bite size morsels of chicken in a cayenne spicey sauce. This appetizer was the star of the mealTHE ENTREESThe Lamb Rogan Josh($15.99)and the vegetarian Navratan Korma dishes were deftly prepared and oh so good and satisfyingThe Buttered Naan ($3.99) and the Garlic Naan ($4.49) were a excellent accompanimentto our two entrees. The portions are large,so expectto bring home lots of food for the next day.A great restaurant an a great dining experieces from RuchiOn Memorial Parkway.

We finally tried this place in the old Beauregard's location on South parkway. The chicken biryani and chicken tikka masala were excellent. We ordered "medium" spice and they had a little "pop" to them afa spicyness if you know what I mean. The garlic naan was puffy and soft. Really good! One thing we appreciated was the generous helpings. Very nice surprise to receive big helpings of food these days. We'll be back to try other menu items!

Ruchi … let’s begin with the food. Everything is so delicious and fresh. Never had an off-day here so whatever the Chef is doing … it’s amazing. Next, I love to bring or introduce people to Ruchi. The wait staff is fantastic and the owner is friendly. One time, I accidentally spilled my “doggie bag” take home container. The Chef took it upon himself to immediately make up a portion for me to take home. I can’t tell you how happy I was because I really looking forward to day two. I love this place and the people here.

I tore into my delicious naan before I started eating my butter chicken. Sadly two bites in, I felt incredibly unwell. I have a pretty serious nut allergy. I was itching, mouth & throat were swelling and vomiting as I called Ruchi. The gentleman who answered said if the curry was red it wouldn’t have nuts but he’d check. I was placed on hold. He then said no one else has complained so I asked to check into the spices used. He placed me on hold again and when he answered he said he was told by the owner not to tell me anything but he spoke to the chef and the chef adds cashews. That’s very dangerous and frankly shady as heck. If you’re going to alter butter chicken note the ingredient change in the menu descriptions. If it had been a pistachio I’d go into shock in less than 2 minutes.

I can't say anything about the food but the customer service is so poor that we will not go back to find out. We've tried to go to Ruchi twice now and had to walk about before ordering. We were never greeted when we walked in, simply glanced at a few times for a good 15 minutes before we walked out. They seemed busy with to go orders and understaffed (like everyone else right now) all of which is totally understandable. But to not receive ANY recognition that we walked in the door and would be helped at any point is just bad customer service and very disappointing. Anyway they seemed busy enough and I'm sure losing our business means very little to them, but I'd rather put my money towards someone that cares about their customers.

I'm not gonna lie, my first experience left me with a bitter taste. The service was not the best. I actually informed the gentleman behind the counter that his attitude just lost him a customer and I immediately lost my appetite. On the way home the aroma was so enticing that I started to get hungry again. I got home and ate everything, it was sooooooo good. I have always rejected bad service but in this instance I was willing to overlook the customer service experience because the food was just that good. I eat there regularly now and if you haven't tried it yet you have no idea what you're missing.

By far the best Indian food in HSV! We are so thankful to have found this gem. The food is delicious!! The portion sizes were huge and we took it home for dinner the next night which is always nice. As a vegetarian married to a meat eater, it is often super challenging to find a restaurant we both enjoy but we didn't have this challenge at Ruchi as there were plenty of vegetarian and non-veg options. We both walked out feeling happy and satisfied. Our waitress was very sweet, too. We will definitely be back!
