Stella's Elixir Lounge

I want to preface this review by saying that I have worked in the restaurant industry and bartended for the better part of my adult life. This is my first time visiting Stellas and more than likely my last. I took my wife out last night (03/13/2025) for her birthday with a group of friends. We showed up around 9pm to a pretty much empty bar outside of 3 or 4 other people and ordered our drinks.Drinks were pretty slow to come out, no big deal. Bartender was a little short and not very conversational, not a problem everyone has an off day but the reason why I am leaving this review (I never leave reviews poor or bad) is because we were berated like children by our bartender for combining two 4 top high tables together on the COMPLETELY EMPTY back patio behind the bar so that our party would have adequate seating. Less than 5 minutes after our party of 8 sat down (mind you her ONLY customers for the majority of the night) she came over and said that she knew we saw the BIG HUGE GIANT sign in front of the bar that said no moving tables together but because we already did it to make sure we put them back together before we leave. We apologized and said we would make sure to do so and she went on her way. After ordering more drinks from her through the night it was our understanding that the bar was open until 2am (as listed online) and as soon as Midnight hit she flips all the bar lights on and start loudly slamming down the garage doors indicating for us to hit the road. We paid our tabs and left then seeing the aforementioned small chalk board sign that said no moving furniture which we understood to mean no moving around the plethora of couches and plush chairs located around the bar (completely understandable) but not high tops on a completely empty patio. Regardless, incredibly rude service. It’s one thing if you are SLAMMED and you want to keep seating arrangements straight for food runners from the kitchen or something. but at max excluding our party of 8 there may have been 5 other people in the bar at a time so it really felt like she was trying to run off business so that she could close earlier which she did anyways. Piss poor customer service. Dropped a big stinker on my wife’s birthday party and my opinion of this establishment. The place is cute tho i guess.

I used to love this bar, but unfortunately, the experience has changed. The staff no longer provides the same welcoming vibe. The bartender was rude, and it wasn’t even closing time yet when she started kicking us out. She turned off the music and began making loud noises while cleaning, making the atmosphere uncomfortable. It’s disappointing to see such a great place lose its charm.

I went Saturday , March 1st. I went by my self so I sat at the bar. I was sitting there for 10 minutes before I was greeted. The bar had 2/3 people serving , so I was shocked it took that long to be greeted . The bar was serving 5 dollar wine , so that’s what I ordered , it came out to be 6 dollars . I was there for maybe an hr . After I received my wine I was not talked to again , no one asked if I needed anything. The guy bartender was intentionally ignoring me & the woman who served me my wine was not to be seen again after serving me . I knew the guy was intentionally ignoring me because the two couples sitting next two me were served by him. The bar seats were way too close . The guy on my left bumped into me trying to sit down. My first time there was a really bad experience.

I don't think there's an elevator.
If there is no dj there is an interactive jukebox.
No food but a Mexican restaurant downtown stairs
Drinks are decent
Good vibes and diverse crowd but mostly college and young adults
Love the decor

Edit: (Jessica was the servers name) The ginger with the gap tooth is so dismissive and passive. I have never had service this horrible at a Huntsville bar. Monday at 7pm.

If I could give this 0 stars I would. I used to love this bar, but today 1/17/24 8:30pm I was denied entry for literally no reason. I am 28 years old, updated ID, scans etc. Guy at the front told me I need to provide another option of proof that it was me “since everything can scan these days” so I proceeded to show him two credit cards with my full name on it that matched my ID, my freaking blue cross blue shield insurance card with my name, and I even said I can show you a picture proof of my passport. GUESS WHAT NOPE NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!! I felt discriminated against as this man would let me in for any reason. He knew that was my real ID but was on a power trip. I even said you can call the cops to verify it…. How ridiculous. I would understand had it been an expired ID, didn’t scan, didn’t look like me, wasn’t a new ID… but nope he just didn’t want to let me in. Now my entire group of 7 people went to the bar next door. This place sucks and that guy is going to cause yall to lose a lot of money.

Stated on their website the New Year's Eve cover change was $10 per person payable only by credit card. My girlfriend and I went and had a wonderful time but I was a little taken back when I viewed my credit card statement and discovered we had been overcharged for the cover. I seriously don't think it was an accident, probably a slick scheme of stealing from customers without them knowing upfront. How many other customers did they steal from that are still unaware?

I think this is a decent place but the service is so-so and drinks are often overpriced. It also looks much bigger in the pictures. I would say it has more of a mini club feel and out of that type of venue in Huntsville it's probably the best.

The aesthetic of Stella’s is very pleasing. I do love the more mature crowd. Their drinks are a little more on the high end side.

This place is really cool. We love the vibes! The drinks are very expensive tho :( but other than that it’s a great place to come talk with friends

Rude rude rude!!! It has changed since the first time I started going there. The bartenders are so nasty to the customers . I over heard the one who wears the cowboy hat just go off on a customer. I'll never step foot back in that place!!!
