Finally tried this place after people suggesting it for the last 10 years. Wasn't bad, wasn't great. Sat at a weird table by the bar and the bartender was pretty busy with bar guests so service was a little slow. The spicy coconut soup that everyone suggests was a 5/10, mostly liquid and the flavors didn't blend well. Sushi was good and the noodle entree was great. I'd like to try this place during lunch next time.

Ordered Golden Trout, Unagi Sashimi and Thai tea. Trout was well cooked and served on a bed of cooked spinach and rice. But coming from a thai restaurant, I expected more flavors from it, some ginger, garlic, chilis or at the least a hint of lime. It did not even have salt in it. It came with some sweet soy sauce, that is it. Unagi sashimi was the same. I should have ordered the traditional thai dishes. Disappointed.

I worker at the Surin West location for about 10 years. I'd never tasted thai for before working there, ate there every day without ever getting tired of it and today it is still my favorite food. They really put a lot in to their dishes, it's not just some prepared stuff they throw in a fryer. The BBQ chicken is slow baked over night in fresh made Thai BBQ. The chili pasta, which makes up a central flavor in many of the dishes and sauces, is made of chilies toasted again and again to give it that deep rich taste. Will return soon and often.Vegetarian options: Pretty much everything on the menu.

Surin of Thailand is outstanding every time. We’ve lived here 4.5 yrs. If I don’t get my Thai fix there every 3-4 weeks, I’m even more difficult to live with. We’ve been out of time most of the winter, so hope to be at Surin tomorrow. My favorites are coconut soup and Chicken Massaman. The Bangkok martini is incredible. We’ve always had good service but have our special staff. Scott is our favorite server. Poshon makes the meanest martini. The general manager, Ashish, does a great job. If you are interested in walking in to order To Go because you just so happen to be in the neighborhood and remember you used to like this place, KEEP DRIVING. The bartender will never acknowledge your presence while you wait to be seen. The regular waiters will come to you and offer help, but the bartender never speaks. The service here has severely gone down and it is a shame because this place used to hold a dear place in my families hearts. I ended up walking out upon never being acknowledged.
