We hosted my mom’s 60th birthday party at Taqueria El Rey this past weekend and it was amazing! We had the party in the side room which is huge, super clean, and has great natural lighting. I just had the best burrito I’ve probably ever had. No hyperbole. It had all sorts of things in it that I would not have otherwise expected like pickled carrots and peas. Truly incredible. I will come back here every time I pass by. Wow. And inexpensive! I paid around $10 for a full meal.
Vegetarian options: Many meals can be made with vegetables only. Obviously, there are many meat choices but some can be converted.

Best BBQ chicken ever! I would literally go here just for that. They also have great tacos! I highly recommend the pastor, carnitas and barbacoa tacos. It’s super small inside and not many seats so there can be a wait time. But it’s well worth it! This place is a little gem in Detroit. Oh and like others have said- the green sauce is delicious!
