The check in was pleasant but it is hard to believe how the quality has gone down at Marriott. If my husband was not with me, I would not have stayed. The hall smelled like pot. the door was broken and open at the side entrance. The lamp shade was dented and the pooled drained. Yuck!
- We calling to The Hotel for help but non of associate willing to help , they say they on busy can't follow up what we need please consider to stay here And we never want to get back to this hotel anymore GM was bad and rude ..as I’m use to work for this company and my expectation there has more experience and well train but honestly non of them understand what the hospitality is look like and how to spend it.. keep bad as much as you can ….
Nice Hotel but it is dated. The Front Desk staff was nice and made me feel welcomed. My room was nice and clean. Nice comfortable bed, had a sofa and desk, the AC worked well and was quiet. Good size bathroom and shower. The pool was closed on my visit and it was drained with the gate locked. The ice machines were turned off. If you wanted ice for your room you had to walk up to the office.
Depends on who is working. Some bartenders are quick and friendly, others seem to hide in the back. I ordered tot-chos, expecting nachos made with tater tots... I got tater tots but the "chili" mentioned was green Chile's, which left me with tots with buffalo ranch dip, green chiles, melted cheese, and bacon bits. Not sure I wanna know what these folks think goes on nachos. Also ordered it to eat in and he went ahead and boxed it to go.

Staff are extremely courteous and professional (front desk Marcus and several housekeepers). Food is good but plenty and variety of options close-by. The amenities, however, are sorely outdated and in need of upgrades. Lighting inside room is dim. Access to entry from side doors not working despite signage. Groundskeeping is poor (cigarette butts, trash). Again, the staff are excellent!
As a Titanium level with Marriott, I have stayed in my share of Marriott properties all over the world, but was disappointed with this property. The stale of the carpet, and poor upkeep of the property is disappointing. The check in staff was friendly and all staff were attentive. The breakfast is overpriced (I rarely pay for breakfasts on property), so we opted to eat out. No microwaves in the rooms. The room was comfortable! I don’t know if this would be on my fave list! Had trouble with the keys to the property and they had to be changed out several times, including at 1:00 a.m. in the cold and rain?
I am very disappointed in this Marriott. As a platinum elite member I believe Marriott should do better. Here are the issues: 1) what the online booking said we would have was not what we got (sofa bed) and when I called the front desk it was like to bad so sad we are booked and we can’t help that the booking you got wasn’t what we gave you. 2) the walls are paper thing, the boys cross country team might as well have been in our room we could hear everything they said. 3) the rooms are worn and the bathroom vents are disgusting. Do better Marriott and if you say rooms have sofa beds- then have them.
Hotel very worn and in need of renovation. Carpets stained in hallways and badly torn in stairwells. Light fixtures falling off walls in the room and lampshade badly damaged. Elevator not cleaned during my two night stay and side entryway littered. Did not find a microwave in the room but one was available in the lobby. Pool was closed and emptied even though weather was nice out. Staff was courteous and service was fine but hotel shows age and appears neglected. This is not Marriott standards.
I have been staying here at the Huntsville Courtyard Marriott every week since September 6 and the Staff at this Courtyard is as good or better than other Courtyards I stay at. Starting with Frankey the marketing Manager she has been very helpful with my reservations accommodating with my travel dates. The Front Desk Staff have been very friendly at all times. Kyle in the Bistro is the Best not only with me but everyone he waits on. And of course Eddie in Maintenance he goes the extra mile to make sure my stay is like being at home. I will say I stay at several Courtyards around the Country and there is a reason that I choose them. Terry
I was on a business trip and the Courtyard Huntsville on University Drive is what you expect from a typical Courtyard. I just wanted to leave a review for one of the staff. I was in the gym exercising and a staff member, Stuart, walked by and glanced in. He came back in 5 minutes and brought me a bottle of water. He had no reason to do so other than he saw me exercising without water. Very thoughtful and he went above and beyond what is expected to bring great customer service which is not seen often anymore. Thank you Stuart.

Checking in took 25 minutes. There were 7 people in front of me and only one person at desk that was actually helping people. There was another person at the other desk that was completing some tasks but that did include helping us all check in. When the line is out the door, you need to do better. We aren’t paying motel 6 prices , we shouldn’t get a much lower standard of service right off the bat like that. We had an issue with needing the bathroom a little bit longer, and even though membership says we have late check out privileges, i had to basically beg the manager that took me three phone calls to speak with, for 45 extra minutes in room. After much asking and explaining and him being down right rude he said I’ll give you 30. He actually added “and not a minute more.” That’s not how treat loyal customers. It’s not how to treat people from off the street even. The rest of my stay was incident free, but anytime I had to deal with front desk and God forbid the manager, this Marriott underwhelmed, under performed and was at best insulting. The television did not have internet functionality. After dealing with how they handled things already. The last thing I wanted to do was call them for help. I just fixed it myself by resetting the router and power cycling everything. This is not what I am accustomed to at Marriott properties. Nor should it be. The property is older but the rooms were comfortable with a large bathroom and shower. They had tea tree shampoo which was nice. I’ve seen other complaints and responses from the manager that are frankly not helpful at all. “Sorry we messed up. Give us another chance” (i’m paraphrasing). We travel a lot for soccer tournaments for both kids. We need to have an easy experience from beginning to end of stay. The only thing that would have improved my stay was for the people who we trust to have things ready and working and running smoothly to do better and act like they care. I don’t foresee using this property again. I will pay more AND stay further if that is what i need to do to avoid that type of treatment. Treat your customers like you care because we certainly do care.
The hotel was clean and the staff was nice. For the value , the Courtyard meets expectations for a short stay. Everything you need is at the hotel. Pricing is normal hotel prices for snacks , drinks and food. I would stay here again .
This hotel is outdated and unclean. The shower curtain was very nasty. I asked for a new one and they brought me one with rips and tears. My mattress had stains. When I was sitting in the bed, I saw a bug crawling. I would not recommend anyone staying here until this hotel is renovated sprayed and cleaned.
Stayed at this property for three nights and never had housekeeping visit one time. I called the front desk and was told it was scheduled for every other day based on our stay. This did not happen. When I called was told housekeeping was gone for the day. I had to do towel exchanges with the front desk for three days, including even soap for the shower. Trash was three days old in the room by the time we checked out. The carpet in the hallways is awful. Stained and dirty on all floors of the hotel. They have placed rug runners on places in the hallway that are so bad. They have the Bistro restaurant which is never open. This hotel is not easily found as the trees have taken over the sign of the hotel. Better place to stay in Huntsville I am sure did not appear any Covid precautions were still in place.
This place is 100% godawful. Terrible service. Unsafe. The tv wind turn off in the bedroom. The room wreaks of mold and mildew. Do yourself a favor and stay at motel six. You’ll get far better than this pile of waste.
