Love this place. Second time here but first time for dinner and it was my wife and I's 5th anniversary. They put us at a great table, had an awesome server who really explained the menu and made excellent wine, fondue and cooking style suggestions. I've never been disappointed with this place and we will most likely return upon our next special occasion.
I took my wife here for a combination birthday and Valentine's day date. We drove from out of state because it was a place she had always wanted to go. We got there and everything was great the service was wonderful, the food fantastic, it really was an experience, until.. as we were eating our dessert we overheard our waitress complain about us being slow and taking to long to eat our meal. It made us both so sick we instantly go up and left our desserts and all. I just wish I hadn't left a tip. Some things you just shouldn't say in ear shot of customers. It really put a damper on our evening and the 2 hour drive home. We won't be back.
Thought the experience was enjoyable at first, I do not recommend going there on special occasions such as Valentines day as they have a set high price of 90$ for their four course meal per person, that would normally cost 20$ per person on any other day. They said this would include a gift bag, which it did, however all that was included in the gift bag was a bottle of one of their spice and a small single serving bottle of champagne. The taste of the food was not worth it either, the cheese was good other then that it was just ordinary, nothing spectacular. We paid 260$ for four people ( 2 adults at 90$ each and two kids at 9$ each). Completely over priced for a "special occasion". Especially since they would not let use steer away from their set price of 90$ for their regular priced meals.
This was one of the greatest "special occasion" restaurants I have been to. The 4 course meals are a good value, offering a large selection of items for each person to try. I would highly recommend seafood in the main course, and definitely do not skip dessert. This is the shining star of the meal in my opinion. It is a little on the pricey side, so probably best for a nice date night or special occasion.
This locally owned franchise consistently offers amazing service and the food is always good. I thoroughly enjoy fondue, and while I do make it at home sometimes its just nice to go out for a nice dinner. When you eat here the whole experience is top notch. The waitstaff are very nice, knowledgeable, and very attentive without being a nuisance. Every time I eat there I see the owner going around thanking guests for dining there and making sure all there needs are met. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a nice evening out. This place is good for one to many people. I was once there with a party of 16 and the service was just as good and timely as going with a party of two. If you haven't been to the Melting Pot you should make it next on your list!
