This place has so much potential, but right now the food is very boring. Some seasoning would help , and the food being warm would help too.Royale burrito was bland despite so much food being in it. We were disappointed with the lacking flavor expected from a Tex-mex style dish.Patty melt had more bread than meat, and learning to learn to make a proper smash burger would help. The bacon onion jam was good but could fit into the dish better if everything was melted.Breakfast hash browns are undercooked. Need to spend some more time in the fryer.Sausage was puck-like and chewy. Bacon was pretty good though.My dad’s veggie omelette was pretty good.How can you charge for coffee that comes out of what is basically Keurig? For the same price you could buy a decent espresso machine and teach one of the bartenders how to use it.Overall, it feels like this place buys their food pre-made from Costco. The atmosphere is awesome and if the food was better this could be a great spot.

The food was amazing, the cocktails look delish I don’t drink, but the bartender made one the most delicious mocktails. We ordered the crab cakes fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese. I had steak and eggs with a pancake. Everything tasted good but my steak did come out a bit overcook instead of medium rare. Cut into my pancake and batter ran out, our server quickly got it fixed. It was great experience did not wait long to be served. Can’t wait to go back. Food looks exactly how it looks in the pics. Go to the Standard!

Love the place. Love the food. The service was below par. Ordered a drink and got it an hour later. My husband ordered a regular coffee. The server said “breakfast coffee”? He said regular coffee. They brought him a breakfast coffee with alcohol 1/2 an hour later. He ordered 3 eggs over medium. They brought him 2 eggs sunny side up. He mentioned, I ordered 3 eggs over medium. They took the plate. She brought the plate back with two eggs over medium. When she brought the tab she said I removed the 3rd egg. She chose to not serve him what he ordered and give him what she wanted him to have for the entire meal. Very pleased with everything but NOT the service.

I made the mistake of planning a first date here. It's not overwhelmingly close, but seating is tight and I did feel like everyone else was part of the get to know you chat. My fault.The food has great flavor, hearty portion, and with skillful execution. The staff is awesome, attentive without being intrusive, brunch cocktails were tasty with a good kick. It's a little noisy, but for groups of family or friends it's perfect.Definitely try it out.

My wife and I had an excellent brunch with some friends. I had a burrito and my wife the shrimp and grits. Both were excellent in both texture and taste. The atmosphere is different but in a good way.
The atmosphere was lovely and quaint. The food was okay, it was nothing to rave about. I had the shrimp and grits and definitely would not recommend it. I was very disappointed in the dish. It was extremely oily and heavy on the spicy side. The service was mediocre at best. My server, Scott, was very nonchalant and short with our table. Sadly, I've had better service at McDonald's and that in itself says a lot. This was my first visit and most likely my last. The experience definitely did not give a wow factor for me.

They were busy but far from packed or slammed. Went at 10 on Friday 12/29 and sign said seat yourself. So we sat by kitchen area and we sat there for 15-20 mins while employee after employee walked by us. Not a word spoken, shame for that to be my first time visiting. Long story short we got up and walked out, very likely we won’t be back.
One of the best shrimp and grits I've ever had. Tracy was great, and the cappuccino was also very good!

I love love love The Standard Social Market. I'm a decently traveled person but a lifelong resident of Huntsville, and this is my favorite place to go. It's like a big living room with a bar you don't have to tend, a kitchen you don't have to clean, and friends you may have known 10 years or 10 minutes. The atmosphere can't be beat. Bring your kids. Or don't. But they're always welcome! Great location, wonderful drinks, great food. Stop in for a quick bite or cocktail or coffee, or bring your family for lunch. You can't go wrong here. It's cozy and comfortable but with enough seating to not feel stuffed on together. There is typically some sort of music playing at appropriate volume, so you can still have conversation without yelling. College football on the TV last time I was there, and every walk of life is welcome and encouraged. The service is friendly and fast every time. I could go on and on, but I'd rather you just find out for yourself. Nobody is perfect. No business is perfect. But out of all my visits over the past year or 2, I have yet to have an issue, even of the smallest degree. It may not be for everyone, but everyone is welcome, and you can truly feel that sentiment here. Keep up the great work! We appreciate you guys!
