Visited summer 2024

Great food and good service. This place is a little out of the way, but worth a visit.

The food is about average for that area, and the staff seemed helpful and well organized. Would go again.

Easily the best Mexican food I’ve had in Alabama, and probably in the southeast. Quite the hidden gem, as they say!

Freddie is an awesome server. He recommended the mole’ dish….outstanding. Wife had fajitas. Vegetarian daughter had many options.
Ended with fried ice cream. And if you come on Wednesday, $2 modelos and Dos Equis. Homerun, give it a try.

I love Mexican food, and I promise, this is probably the best I've eaten in AL. I ordered the Margarita flight, and it did not disappoint...out of the four options, the mango was the best!!!! Tacos are exceptional here. For some reason, we ordered fries. I can not overstate how seasoned and crisp they were. This place is a great find!

My wife and I went to eat at Tulum on a Friday night. We were greeted by a loudspeaker that was blaring music while trivia was on. Furthermore, it felt almost 80 degrees inside the building with no mention of air conditioning. My wife told me to give it a chance despite how hot it was inside and the loud music playing. We were honestly looking for a some good Tex-Mex and a date night.

When our server came, it was too loud to hear or understand what he was saying. We started off with a large guacamole. It was $9 and consisted of mushed avocado with no seasoning or salt in it. I was honestly shocked because it felt like they had put no effort in this. My wife then ordered a coke. The coke was flat and didn't even taste like coke.

My wife then went on to order a combination dinner with two hard shell steak tacos with a side of French fries. The hard shell tacos came with just steak and no dressing or toppings inside to garnish it. I was honestly baffled by that. Furthermore, they had run out of French fries, and rather than telling us they were out of French fries, our waiter brought us rice and beans. By this point, I was angry. I ordered a California burrito, which was not too bad.

When we were ready to pay, we called our waiter and told him that given there was no French fries, we asked if he could just charge us for two tacos rather than a combination. He said we had gotten rice and beans; however, my wife had not even touched any of it. I was pretty fed up and asked to talk to the manager.

The manager on duty was nice, and I told her about our experience. She sincerely apologized and said it was an off day. She changed our meal to two tacos a la carte. During this whole process it was so loud from the music playing we had to walk away from the register.

I ended up telling her to please talk to the restaurant and let them know that in order to survive and retain customers they need to drastically change. If you're looking for a place to get some cheap drinks and subpar food, then this maybe a good option. But for people that want a good ambiance, good service, and most importantly good food, there are so many better Tex-mex options in the Huntsville area. Now I understand why it is often empty whenever I pick up my door dash orders from there. I don't write this review to be bashful, but rather with the hopes that the restaurant will learn from this and truly assess where they are at. They have potential to be a good restaurant. Just a few simple things to work on: Air conditioning, lowering the music to attract a family oriented crowd, work on food and presentation, and focusing on service.

Great Tex Mex in the local area. Huge portions. $3 lime margaritas in happy hour until 7 pm on Friday nights.

Went for the Brain Blast Trivia on Friday night at 7 pm. Be sure to look up the hints before you arrive.

Air conditioning seems to be struggling today.

This is a hidden gem for Mexican food here in Madison. Everything on this menu is EXCELLENT! Phil Sandovals and Rosies are good places to eat with a ton of other people if thats what you like. The service here is quick and food is so flavorful, prices are perfect as well.
