My work gets Urban Cookhouse catered for meetings sometimes. It's always been just 'Ok' so I decided to check them out for lunch with my wife and kid and give them a sit down shot.My restaurant experience was pretty meh. $45 for lunch for 3 people. It's a fast casual place that's very busy due to the nearby Arsenal. We ordered quickly and got our food quickly. I got the Lime Marinated Steak and Rice, wife got the fresh fruit and chicken salad, kid got the chicken strips. The best part of the Lime Marinated Steak and Rice was the rice. It was great. Sadly a small portion. The 1/4th of a roll they gave me was also good. The steak was.. not good. It was served with peppers and onions and reeked of char.. like they used liquid smoke and soaked it. I gave a piece to the wife and she said the same thing without any input from me. There were no char marks on the outside. Peppers and onions were soggy. Salad was regular and unremarkable.Wife's fruit and chicken salad was OK. I thought the chicken salad tasted like mayo with a little salt. No fruit elements. There was a bunch of fruit on the plate (grapes, pineapple, melon etc) which was good, but the melon had a dirt taste. My wife said she wouldn't come back here and usually she's pretty forgiving.Kid's chicken strips were not breaded (healthy!) but over cooked and a tad dry. She was not enthused. Came with fruit. Not worth the price of admission and there way better options nearby. Pick somewhere else.

Disappointing. Chipotle pork lacked the distictive smoky heat of chipotle chiles and was a mess to eat.

The venue was very clean and the order was out very quick with quality still being top notch. It’s a great place to go if you want to sit down and eat in a timely fashion. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone!Kid-friendliness: Lots of kids in this venue as they have a coloring book and many food options for kids.

I want to write to give a shout out and 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️to URBAN COOKHOUSE in Bridgestreet. My husband and I made a commitment to our health in 2024, and being able to eat healthier when dining out is huge for us right now. Urban Cookhouse allows us to eat out while still enjoying healthy options: wraps, salads, sandwiches, and entrees. We’ve eaten there twice recently. Both experiences were very positive. Urban Cookhouse is an extremely well-managed, very clean restaurant. Servers and chefs have obviously been well trained. Service is excellent. The ingredients are fresh, meals are healthy but also substantial, and prices are reasonable. The environment is laid back. We sat with friends, enjoyed a meal, and a nice long conversation afterward. In nice weather, the garage door walls open for inside/outside dining. Parking is nearby. If you are looking to dine out, but want truly delicious, healthy, lower calorie/lower carb options at a fair price, check out Urban Cookhouse in Bridgestreet (near the Belk parking lot and also near Kona Grill). ?❤️Vegetarian options: Meals are customizable. For example, you can opt for no bacon in your salad. You don’t have to add a protein to the wrap you order.Dietary restrictions: All meals appear to be customizable to some degree. Adding a protein is an option, so many items are vegetarian to start with.Parking: At peak times, such as weekend evenings, it may take a pass or two to find a parking spot, but most of the time, parking is readily available near the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: They offer a menu for kids that is sure to please. They have a peanut-butter fluff sandwich and mac and cheese some kids at the next table were clearly enjoying.Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking is nearby. Seating areas are spacious for wheelchair maneuverability, and bathrooms are roomy and accessible.

This is the first time where I got the plate portion that I usually have - half vegetable, quarter protein and quarter carbs. The amount was just right. The food was delicious, wholesome and healthy! Highly recommended.

This place is a good failsafe. Their salads are always fantastic and the shrimp is always delightful. The pork, in my opinion, is a little too sweet (even without the sauce) and it is just a bit dry. I've had it around 4 or 5 times in the last month and it's consistently dry. The grilled chicken is flavorful but a bit too dry for my liking. These are only the fork and knife selections. The chicken salad, I believe, is their next thing on the menu if you're looking for something that won't give you the after lunch snoozies.

Urban Cookhouse catered my wedding and it was a great experience. They were extremely easy to plan/work with. I love that they didn't try to upsell things we didn't need. The food was delicious and a HUGE hit -- of all of our vendors, I think we received the most compliments on the food. We did the Buffalo Chicken Wraps for cocktail hour, then chicken, steak, rolls, veggies, and cheddar pasta for dinner. We had them set up, serve/manage the buffet, and clean up which was a huge help. Highly recommend!!
