These prepared meats (proteins) and vegetables have been fabulous for my home bound elderly Mom. Her favorite side is the sweet potatoes! The best part is they can be low sodium if desired which is great for elders AND the food is delivered to her door! -local Huntsville Dentist

As a guest at my wedding stated, "This is the best wedding food we've ever had! And I go to a lot of weddings." I cannot express how amazing What's for Supper was at my wedding. The owners were great to work with and open to any kind of menu and service. Our wedding dinner consisted of good southern food and appetizers during the cocktail hour and I must say the food was DELICIOUS! I will forever be recommending this company to everyone in Huntsville hosting an event.

Purchased the valentines dinner for two from them, and couldn't be more impressed. The food was ready well before I needed it, and very detailed reheating instructions were provided. The food was delicious and an amazing amount for the money. Definitely would recommend.

Wonderful alternative for eating out and eating healthy. Huge time saver for me and I know my family will have a healthy dinner. Extremely affordable.

Walter has catered events for us and we've eaten many of his healthy take-home meals. He has such a talent for cooking - always just the right seasoning, high-quality ingredients, and creative combinations. He loves food - and we love everything he makes.

Walter does a great job! We had him cater our end of year lunch at work. We had 24 people. He provided two choices and both were excellent! The food was delivered hot and on time. I couldn't say enough about how well the food and service turned out. I would recommend his business to anyone looking for a caterer.

Walter's food is crazy good. He's catered parties for us where people practically mobbed the buffet table. Online ordering and pick-up for his WFS business is really easy, and everything we've tried has been delicious - from pork sliders to mac-n-cheese to shrimp and grits. It's such a treat to have a yummy homemade dinner now and then without having to cook. Also, when the Greene St Market is open in Spring and summer, we grab and go and either take it home or find a spot in the park for a picnic. He sells out most nights, so get to the market early.

It's really a catering company and "take and reheat" restaurant quality meals. You preorder and pick up Monday evenings. Weekly menus are ready on Wednesday. Love it! ***Actual Review**** What's for Supper has been a blessing for me. In providing easy to reheat, and eat **right** then, restaurant quality cooking, Walter (owner/chef) has been a HUGE help in my efforts to provide delicious meals for my elderly mom. I've tried other places in town with similar concepts, but Walter's food is so much fresher tasting (well, that would make sense: it's not frozen!) and seasoned well. Just good food. You sign up on their web site for their weekly e-mail which comes out on Wed. Pick what you want, and pick up the following Mon. after 4:30 PM and before 6:00 PM at the Leeman Ferry location. Last week, upon my first try, Walter was still cooking the pork, so he is back there busting it. I enjoyed the few minutes of down time that the "waiting on the pork" provided. He offers "Zone-compatible meals" and "Not Zone - and really good food" selections (as well as a complete Easter dinner for your family and wedding/corporate/other catering). I think you get a discount on the 5 meal package. Walter is happy to make substitutions, such as subbing mashed potatoes for cous cous and taking a zone meal and making it vegetarian. His staff is smiling, friendly and offered me a taste of the cous cous when I mentioned that I happen to like it, but Mom doesn't. : -) These descriptions correspond with the uploaded pictures (just now). -Raisin/apple stuffed pork loin - with a stuffing featuring shallots, bacon, raisins, apples and more, this is delicious. Served with baked mashed potatoes with scallions, sour cream and cheese. -Coq au vin - we really enjoy this lovely dish designed for dealing with a tough, old rooster, but really delicious with a fresh hen. A Burgundian specialty. Served with broccoli salad with raisins and bacon. -Chicken pesto - marinated chicken tenders, tossed with basil pesto, and coated with our marinara and mozzarella, served with salad and vinaigrette. -Beef kabobs - marinated sirloin chunks grilled with mushrooms, red bell peppers, tomatoes and served with tzatziki (yogurt, cucumber, mint sauce) and couscous. -Marinated pork and chicken, grilled and julienned, fajita style with seasoned onions and peppers - pork, chicken, onions, red and green bell peppers, olive oil, soy-based marinade and spices. This (above) was the "5 meals (suppers for 1) - for $55 + tax, payable with paypal, or, I'm sure other methods. The portions are fairly generous, and actually make more than 1 meal for my mom, so it works out to be really reasonable especially for the quality of food. TIP: when you place your order online, type exactly what you are ordering (including special requests/substitutions). WFD's web site indicates the "ready made meals" are freezer compatible and the packaging includes the name of the dish, ingredients and I think calories (for Zone meals) and any special reheat instructions. I haven't frozen anything yet. Today, I'm getting the following: -Grilled tilapia over orzo with lemon butter sauce -Grilled half chickens -Cuban pork chops with mojo sauce and fried plantains -Roast chicken salad -Cajun meat loaf served with collard greens. - mac and cheese for one - and paella with chick/sausage/shrimp for two Their web site is really worth perusing. Walter's FB page shows him cooking in Italy and other foreign locations - so, a real pro. Try What's for supper, I can't figure out why I didn't know about them since they've apparently been in business since 09.
