Marty's GM & Eagle's Nest

We love Marty’s GM SO much! We moved away from the area years ago but still try to plan our trips to Birmingham around a trip to Marty’s! We always get the Chicken Bacon Ranch Egg Rolls, Goat Popper Burger, and French Fries. And then depending on what they have in the frozen machine, a frozen margarita or a bushwacker. Everything is always perfectly cooked and delicious! Honestly , it’s wild how consistent the food has been over the years. Absolutely fantastic every time we go.

This place is such a gem. By far my favorite bar in bham. The food is excellent. All the sauces are house made which really sets the sandwiches apart. The Mac burger is my favorite burger in the city. However the drinks are nothing to be played with. Generous pours and handcrafted cocktails. They can make just about anything. Everyone’s always friendly which is why I will always go out of my way to come here. This cocktail was the Madri gras bushwhacker. Taste just like king cake. The drink was amazing. Hurry before they run out!

There were some options that were vegan but not sure if the ingredients were of highest quality. Food was good and went on trivia night.

Took the family to Marty’s GM tonight. Hard to beat a great local spot. The Breakfast Burger was so good! Fries were hot and crispy. Service was fast and all the food was hot and fresh. Can’t really beat that!

Found this place across the street from my hotel & it did not disappoint. You order at the bar after you find your seat. The staff was friendly, the food was quick to get out even though it was busy when I went for lunch on a weekday. Their house burger was definitely a hit. I was able to enjoy a nice meal & watch the football games all the while catching up with family. I will definitely be going back the next time I’m in the area! Also, that shopping center has a really cool antique store (Irondale Pickers) that you should check out after you eat.
