“This is another time I wish there were more options for stars. Five just isn't enough. Again, while traveling from Tennessee back to Dallas, we looked up great burger joints. Man, did this place knock it out of the park!!The food was literally amazing! Which, after checking out reviews, we expected. But the people were the greatest! As you notice, we took a pic with the whole crew. They were almost as excited as we were!If you want a good, hometown, local burger place, do not skip a chance to hit Hamburger Heaven!!”
“Fantastic coffee and fantastic food. The staff is all lovely and the atmosphere is great. Seriously, come here if you want good coffee! My only complaint is the distribution of tasks behind the scenes. For whatever reason the manager or owner, the gentleman with the gray goatee, is taking orders often. I'll be honest, this guy does not have customer service skills, and if you aren't generous in your interpretation of his communication skills he seems a bit rude. No smiling, no customer service platitudes, cuts you off mid sentence because he is only going to communicate in the order of the POS system, and he also hardly makes any eye contact with the guest. The bones of this business are too good to be squandered by having somebody without customer service skills be the person directly interacting with the customers. I'm saying this as genuinely as I can with no ill will towards this man I'm sure he's great at a lot and I applaud him for running the business as well as he seemingly is but as a manager or as an owner you need to understand where your strengths are. I'm putting all five stars because I'm rooting for y'all, and I hope this feedback is helpful.”
“We ordered take-out at the bar on our first-ever visit to Marty's. Authentic dive bar atmosphere, friendly bartender, accommodations in the front for families, and a 21 and over area beyond the bar with games and a couple of pool tables.Food: I loved my BLT. It was on the small side, but a decent amount of B, and plenty of L & T to keep it fresh. My cohorts both ordered the Breakfast Burger. Expecting the egg to be runny like the photos we saw, and thinking the maple glaze would only be on the patty, they were not-so-pleasantly surprised when their eggs were very well done, and the burger bun was saturated in maple syrup. It had a McGriddle taste to it, but with a hamburger patty instead of a spicier sausage. The homemade chips didn't travel well in a to-go container (2 miles away), but the tots were perfectly cooked and salted. The fries were alright, but nothing like the tots.”
“I finally got a cheeseburger combo. It's better than the old burger joint across the street. It comes with enough fries for two people. Will definitely be back!”
“I’m so glad I discovered this little hot-dog gemstone nestled up on the hill between Southeastern Salvage and Irondale Pickers. The hot dogs were fabulous- it was almost nostalgic. I haven’t had a hotdog that great in a minute!!! Nice, laid back, clean atmosphere. Owners are very friendly too!”
“My family and I went on our spring break to South Carolina, and we stopped at Taco Mariachi for dinner on our way south. The seasoning of the food was so good and delicious that on our return we stopped at Taco Mariachi again for dinner. mariachi. I recommend the best tacos with a unique flavor.”
“I haven't been to a Waffle House in years, but my kid really wanted to go for dinner so we did. This location has the best reviews and now I know why. It was great! Our server was very friendly and got us everything we needed quickly. The food was exactly what we hoped for, served up hot and quick. When you want the Waffle House experience, this is a great one to visit.”
“Just tried for the first time with my coworkers and was very impressed with how tasty everything was! The pizza wasn't greasy at all and was cut to perfection. Definitely recommend giving them a try!!”
“The pepperoni was SUPER tasty!!!! I love how the pizza is already made and just put in a warmer and you can pick it up, pay and leave and it’s extremely fresh still. They are small pizzas, and mine was $10. Worth it. Extremely ”
“Really good wings and fries, but some of the young men that work their are vulgar and don't respect customers based on the conversations they have among each other. They curse a lot. Very unprofessional which makes the atmosphere uninviting. But the wings ... Really good!!!”
“Alot of hungry folks at American Deli the Saturday we all went. This is always a good sign, when it is crowded, letting you know it is worth the wait before you even order. I'll be going back soon! ❤️”
“Back in 1983 there was a Sneaky Pete's place a few hundred yards from the high school I attended. The highschool cafeteria was like a Turkish prison but not nearly as nice. So, without permission,, I would stroll to Sneaky Pete's most days at lunch. It was truly a magical lunch hour. I'd order hotdogs, cheeseburgers, a coke etc. and dine in tranquility.. maybe play the arcade games they had then meander back to school.I shared all that to report that Sneaky Pete's still makes great food at this location.”
“Golden Rule, one of the oldest barbecue joints in the USA, opened its doors in Irondale in 1891. Growing up, this was always my family's favorite. My dad would pick up pork sandwiches or a pound of pork, and we would eat it with Golden Flake potato chips and drink Coca-Cola. My dad, now in his 80s, still loves Golden Rule. Whenever we get together with family, this is where he wants to go. This place still has a small town vibe with friendly waitresses that remember you and your family. It's a place where small and large groups are welcome, and friends like to hangout and talk. If you aren't a BBQ fan. They also serve chicken sandwiches, hamburgers, and cheeseburgers. I love BBQ, and my favorite is their pork plate sliced, not chopped with a side of mac and cheese and their vinegar cole slaw.”
“Hidden inside the Chevron station, along with a Taco Bell & a Pizza Hut.No menus, no prices listed, just a glass fronted hot display with lots of good-looking food. Biscuits, sausage, bacon, milk gravy, scrambled eggs, home fries, etc. Everything served up instyrofoam containersBiscuits and gravy for me with a sausage to crumble up (I prefer sausage gravy over milk) and drink from the typical convenience store cooler ran $7.25. Good deal, Lucille. The food need to be warmer though.”

“Food is awesome, cafeteria style service, very attentive and very good. Good old fashioned ethics that is hard to find. Very nice inside, period items everywhere, very clean. One of my favorite places. Best meat and three you will find. Been here for 96- years, fried green tomatoes are worth the drive.”
