“I haven't been to a Waffle House in years, but my kid really wanted to go for dinner so we did. This location has the best reviews and now I know why. It was great! Our server was very friendly and got us everything we needed quickly. The food was exactly what we hoped for, served up hot and quick. When you want the Waffle House experience, this is a great one to visit.“
“Back in 1983 there was a Sneaky Pete's place a few hundred yards from the high school I attended. The highschool cafeteria was like a Turkish prison but not nearly as nice. So, without permission,, I would stroll to Sneaky Pete's most days at lunch. It was truly a magical lunch hour. I'd order hotdogs, cheeseburgers, a coke etc. and dine in tranquility.. maybe play the arcade games they had then meander back to school.I shared all that to report that Sneaky Pete's still makes great food at this location.“
“Golden Rule, one of the oldest barbecue joints in the USA, opened its doors in Irondale in 1891. Growing up, this was always my family's favorite. My dad would pick up pork sandwiches or a pound of pork, and we would eat it with Golden Flake potato chips and drink Coca-Cola. My dad, now in his 80s, still loves Golden Rule. Whenever we get together with family, this is where he wants to go. This place still has a small town vibe with friendly waitresses that remember you and your family. It's a place where small and large groups are welcome, and friends like to hangout and talk. If you aren't a BBQ fan. They also serve chicken sandwiches, hamburgers, and cheeseburgers. I love BBQ, and my favorite is their pork plate sliced, not chopped with a side of mac and cheese and their vinegar cole slaw.“
“Wow. Wow. Wow. Blown away. I’m a huge fan of “fine, French cuisine” and this was certainly worth the 90 min drive to get to. Beautiful and simple, yet service and food are well planned and very intentional. Will absolutely be back, this place DID NOT MISS! Would give 6* if I could.“
“This was our first time and it was absolutely excellent from start to finish! The manager, Brandon, was SO genuinely welcoming and accommodating. Our server, Parker, was flawless and so much fun (request him!). Every dish was perfectly cooked, refined and full of flavor (smoked salmon, fried green tomatoes, fried oysters, rainbow trout, swordfish with andouille, ribeye with truffle fondue). The cocktails and wine all perfect. Will definitely return and want to thank Blueprint for a truly wonderful experience!“
“In town visiting and decided to try this place. Glad I did, because from the service, to the food, and atmosphere, it exceeded expectations. Krystal took our orders and although I have no dietary restrictions, my friend was ordering for his wife and was very happy that they were able to accommodate with items being gluten free. Especially on Tuesdays. Will definitely return and visit.Ordered the hot chicken and waffles. You’re able to substitute the wings for tenders. Waffle had flavor by itself and the fresh warm peaches with house made butter complimented each other very well.“
“Food was great, but the service was stellar! Rebecca was fantastic about my food allergies and even helped move us from an inside table to outside, so we could enjoy the beautiful evening! Absolutely wonderful evening.Dietary restrictions: They are wonderfully aware of the ingredients in the food. Anything you need excluded they will make it happen.“
“We had a great time with customers celebrating the tip off of the bb tourney. The atmosphere was great, food was great, and the service was greater than great. Alana did an awesome job. She was attentive to everything we needed and explained everything very well. She has a great personality and is professional, but also very fun. Also would like to thank Landon for all his help as well as Bryan. We will definitely have more outings here.“
“Stumbled upon this place while leaving the zoo, and I was very pleased. I had the Chicken Pesto Bowl, which was delicious. Ingredients were fresh and the size of the bowl was just right. The young lady who took my order was very helpful, suggesting their most popular menu items. I’ll definitely be back to try some other menu items.“

“just made my fourth profit withdrawal with Mr Ralph Carico, his team were very responsive when it came to questions or concerns as a first time trader, He’s the right one here with his help I was able to get profit, The process was very smooth, Thank you Ralph Carico“
“Our waitress is super friendly and made us feel at comfort when it was our 1st time in Alabama and at Mudtown.I hardly eat fried pickles but Mudtown's fried pickles is beyond DELICIOUS!!! Fresh, crunchy and seasoned just right--LOVE IT!! The Shrimp and grits is really good. I went all out and got warm chocolate chip cookies with vanilla ice cream drizzle with chocolate fudge syrup-- spectacular!! Definitely wouldn't mind coming back again!“
“I think his name was Felix, he was the guy behind the bar and serving tables last night. This guy is absolutely amazing he is what's going to make this company succeed. These people like him and his generosity and courteousness and his kindness, he really was something special and I'm really glad I had the opportunity to run into him“
“If you love high-quality, amazing food and enjoy Southern cuisine, I cannot recommend this place enough. The culinary attention to detail in every dish is truly outstanding. Do not be deceived by the humbleness of the menu; every single dish is deceptive in its simplicity. When you take a bite you experience multiple dimensions of flavor. We had several dishes and all of them were amazing. I also had the best piece of chicken I have ever had in my life… and that is saying a lot. I only wish I was a local, because I would be there at least once a week!“
“My lady friend and I made reservations late for a table but we did get seats at the bar and really enjoyed chatting with the two bartenders! We both ordered chicken scaloppine piccata and it was delicious. The servings were big so we had plenty left over for another meal! The service was very good. All in all, we had a wonderful dining experience!“
“We were told that the best burger in Birmingham is made at Back Forty. We were not, however, told about all of their amazing beers. Or the great restaurant/outdoor area. Or the fantastic service and friendly servers/cooks. This is one of the must-dine locations in BHAM.“
“I had the goat pepper soup with fufu and it was incredible. The meat was falling off the bone and the sauce was so thick and full of well blended spices it reminded me of a curry. Hearty portions and excellent service. 10/10 - thank you Sahani Kitchen! ?“
“We have had our company party here for the last couple of years. We have 20 seated in their party room. A little cramped but still workable for all those folks. Food and service has been outstanding!! Any food choice will be above average but the Apple beignets are a must have and truly special.“
“I was in town for a concert . My initial choice (traditional American)was full and my belly couldn’t wait any longer . So we turned the corner and found this little gem . The service was a walk through the flavor profile of each meat … which I ended up getting all three . The Jasmine rice with the little burnt pieces add the much missing flavour in many dishes . The chicken , steak or the lamb you can not go wrong . A must if you’re down town or anywhere for that matter.“
“There is nothing bad that you can say about this place! Every single time that we’ve been here, we’ve had an amazing experience. From service, food, seasonal food choices, drinks, and desserts, it’s just a great place to eat, and have a quick meal or a meeting or a leisurely dinner. We tend to go when we have just a little time to go in and have a quick bite and something to drink on our way to an event or something, but we went to a business meeting here a month ago, and it was, a great experience as well. They have a separate room that you can holdings in room for projector screen and such.“
“Paramount is the perfect sports bar for families. With plenty of TVs, everyone gets a great view of the game. It stands out with an arcade area for kids and an impressive food and beer menu that goes beyond typical sports bar offerings. The large roll-up doors that open to a patio are a hit on nice days, blending indoor comfort with the outdoor vibe. It's my top pick for anyone wanting to enjoy sports (especially with kids).“
“Salad very flavorful with protein addition grilled chicken (upcharge). Fruit fresh. Opted to add a smoothie. Service 4 stars only due to 3+ desired smoothie option choices unavailable, however, server, was accomodating to recommend creating one.“
“It was our first time for our anniversary. The atmosphere was very nice. The service was the best service I’ve ever had at a restaurant the food was very unique and excellent. We will be making this a tradition to come here for our anniversary from here on out“
“I have heard positive experiences about Pizzeria GM from multiple people and decided to try it. Once I got there, the atmosphere was great, friendly, and very welcoming. We went during a pretty busy time during the day but the staff was able to get us a table quickly. Everyone who was working at the restaurant was attentive and could answer any questions we had with no hesitation. The menu has many different options that people can choose from whether it be appetizers or main course dishes. Once the food arrived, we were so glad we decided to come here. The pizza was great, it was shared between some friends and me, and we all had nothing but positive things to say. It also is a very family-friendly restaurant. Overall, I would go here again because the staff was so friendly, the atmosphere was great, and the food was delicious!“
“first time there today and I'm sad that I'm just now discovering this place. Liz and Jodi were so sweet and helpful. my drink and breakfast burrito were amazing. and the whole atmosphere of the place is very cool. i work from home a lot but will definitely bring my laptop up here soon.“
“Enjoyable & wonderful food. Always fresh & delish. Great service. Mo & Matt are long timers & will make sure you are well taken care of. Though you will be full at the end of your meal, be sure to try the cheesecake covered in whipped cream. Wow...enough for several to share a bite!Kid-friendliness: Sandwiches & fruits are kid friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp close by at Subway end.“
“We recently had an anniversary party at The Wine Loft and it was so wonderful! We had our wedding reception there 10 years ago, so we were excited to host another event at The Wine Loft. The whole team worked hard to make it a successful event (especially Kristin). We hope to be back in another 10 years :)“
“We were looking for an authentic Alabama lunch experience and found it with Ted’s. We arrived towards the end of the lunch service and found them friendly and welcoming upon entering the space. Free, ample parking, available seating and staff smiles helped us feel at home from the moment we entered. The vegetables were my favorite and immediately took me back to my great aunt’s cooking. Prices were very reasonable. Highly recommend.“
“The food was spectacular, me and my boyfriend loved every single thing we got. However, I didn’t give it 5 stars because nobody sat us down when we walked in. We were just kind of standing around while people were staring at us. Also it’s not that they weren’t friendly, they just didn’t really smile or make eye contact. Restaurant was kind of plain and boring too. Anyways, the actual food was great and we’d come back to eat here! Also beware, entrance a little odd.. had to park and walk up a stairwell to get there. It’s kind of tucked away in the corner.“
“The chicken salad and several other meals were tasty! Yikes...we received menus 15 minutes after being seated. We had to get our own silverware and 1-2 tables were dirty. Yikes. We were really hungry after hours of basketball so...we stayed. The pita chips made it worth it!!“
“Guys yesterday I got the chance to try The Essential. Not going to lie I only came here because they made the list of 25 best burgers in Alabama so of course I hade to try it. However we had to get some other items to try. To start off the place was very nice and welcoming not a huge place either but not too small. A very nice bar, great place for friends and small family gatherings or even a nice date night. 8/10 I also really loved the open kitchen they had you could see the chefs working hard and getting the dishes out. Our waitress (forgot her name) was probably hands down one of the best waitresses I have ever had and even got some up sales out of me. Also got to meet who I think was either the manager or the owner not sure but he was very nice too. 10/10 on customer service. APPETIZER: BAKED MOZZARELLA (Lioni cheese, calabrian sauce, fontina). This was so freaking good its hard to explain but I'm going to do my best. It's baked mozzarella but eating it you'd definitely think it was fried but it was not. The sauce was so good its not marinara sauce kind of is but with a slight spicy kick. I absolutely devoured this thing. Probably my favorite dish of the whole night. 10/10 We also recieved free focaccia bread which is one of my favorite breads and it was so good. I was not a big fan of the ricotta cheese blend though it's just me I'm not a fan of ricotta cheese lol. But the bread itself was top notch. So fluffy and yet properly toasted and buttery. 8.5/10 Now for what I and all of you are waiting for: CHEESEBURGER (Bear Creek beef, big mac style, fries) This burger was so fresh and delicious don't let the picture fool you it was not very big but still very delicious. The Big Mac style sauce was good. The ingredients you could easily tell were very fresh but I feel like seasoning wasn't executed well and lacked salt and pepper. Fries were cut fresh very good and well seasoned. Do I think it deserves to be on the top 25 list? Yes but what they are charging for it I think it's a bit much for what you actually recieve. 8.9/10 Second entrée was: HALF CHICKEN PIRI PIRI (guajillo marinade, peanut-lime gremolata, fries) This was some flavorful juicy chicken Piri Piri definitely done right however correct me if I'm wrong but half chicken means half a chicken right because we only recieved a butterflied chicken breast. Maybe I'm missing something here and someone can help me understand. 9/10 Last but not least dessert: CARROT CAKE (swiss meringue buttercream, whipped cheesecake) The dessert menu wasn't very extravagant and very limited but I found out they own their own bakery so the cakes were made in house so we got the carrot it. It was very good and very moist however it had coconut all over it and I flat out don't like coconut it's a texture thing not a flavor thing. For the price you pay for it I definitely expected a bigger slice then what we recieved. But with that being said 8.5/10 Would I come back here? Yes! Do I recommend this place? Yes! However I think for what you're paying for some for the items I think the portions should be adjusted accordingly. Staff was spectacular food was great and I really enjoyed my time here.“
“Went in to grab a quick lunch and chose the Italian sub. Everything on it was fresh and the meat used was of good quality as well. It's nice to be able to get a sub and actually taste the individual ingredients instead of the usual bland mess thrown at us by most chains.“
“Have been going to this place for so many years. Don't get to go as much as would like but I really enjoy the chicken and dressing , macaroni & cheese, and the green beans. Most of the time the rolls. Unfortunately last time they were hard. My dad got the veggie plate and really liked all his options as well.“
“If I could give this place 6 stars, I would. I’m visiting from out of town, and my blackened mahi fish tacos were other-worldly. The hush puppies were a delightful side, with the fresh house made tartar sauce to dip. 100% loved this meal. The vibe here is relaxed, mom & pop kind of cozy. Go here today. I will be back!!“
“I was on my way to be a guest on the Blerd Survival Guide podcast and I had a little time to kill so I popped up over to The Electric after being told many times to try it. So what are the odds that this place was only 3 minutes from my destination! Anyways I popped in and checked out the inside and it was a very cool, comfortable, and hype like establishment. I put my order in online and didn't go in until it was the said time they gave me on the order. When I went in my food wasn't ready and so I had to wait probably another 30 minutes. Staff was working hard though so I wasn't stressing about it to hard. Staff was nice and offered me water while I waited. I finally get my food head back to the car and proceeded to unbox everything. I gotta admit that visually the food looked very good. First up I had the Classic which is a Flatbread that consists of pepperoni, conecuh sausage, mozzarella, provolone cheese, and basil. This ended up being very good. Nothing crazy to wow about but it definitely got the job done. Flavors were decently balanced I think my only grip with this is the pizza sauce could use a bit more work. I still would other this again anyways so don't let that stop you. 7.5/10 Lastly I got The Ballpark which consisted of country sausage, chili, cheddar cheese, yellow mustard, scallions, and hugged tight in a toasted bun. This was probably my favorite thing. The chili was so hot and tasted as if it was homemade. If it's not homemade I want to known where they buy it because it was pretty darn good. I'd eat it on its own! The sausage was very flavorful as well. The only issue with this was the bun it's definitely well toasted it was way to hard for me and shredded the roof of my mouth I would personally change the bun to something else but that'd just me. Either way this bad boy is a will order again and I give it a 8.5/10. Definitely go try this place when you get the chance it was really good and I hope I can come back soon!“
“Busy Saturday afternoon and so far I prefer the Auburn location. ? are fantastic beef with little else. Had the Chiflet and loved it big time. Service could’ve been faster but again a packed house. Gotta agree with other reviewers, some staff could watch their mouths especially when waiting at the kitchen. Don’t want to wait on people? Find another job. I don’t need to hear about how much you hate your table. It’s the service industry, be glad pandemic is done. Beer selection was good just wish there was some draft. I’d stop in again. And man, there are some bra-less women in Highland Park. (Not what you think, you’ll understand when you eat there.)“
“Rojo is a staple in the area and I can’t imagine Birmingham without it! Tucked in beautiful Highland Park this gem is a must stop for the local atmosphere and diverse eats. Many gluten free/vegan options, dine in or to go… stuck at home? DoorDash it!!! You have to try the David’s Quesadilla, it’s a personal favorite. Stop in for open mic night for a good time or visit during any other special nights/events. Thank you for everything Rojo!❤️Dietary restrictions: Dairy free, Gluten Free, Vegan options“
“First time for this location. The staff were friendly and answered questions I had about the menu. I chose the Buffalo chicken wrap with the side salad. The wrap was good and flavorful. The side salad could have been a meal in itself. Overall a good choice for lunch. I recommend it to anyone.“
“We came here for a birthday dinner, the food was great! We ate early around 4:30 and got seated right away with no reservations! I personally got the Filet with Brussels sprouts - that was one of the best steaks I have had in a minute! The rest of us got salmon and a variety of sides! Everything was delicious! For dessert we got the cookie skillet! Definitely worth trying! The restaurant was super clean, the staff was attentive, and food was prepared great (looks and taste)! It’s alittle more on the expensive side, but you’re paying for and getting quality! I definitely recommend it!“
“When I walked in the door, I was greeted by someone. I was told there would be a 5 minute wait to sit down. It didn’t take the whole 5 minutes for me and two additional people to be seated. The business was quite full but everyone appeared to be enjoying themselves, smiling and eating. As soon as we were seated a waitress took our drink orders along with our food. We received our drinks right away. It took approximately 10 minutes for us to get our food. The food was delicious. I am impressed. Great service overall. 5 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“This is a cute little restaurant with great staff and food. Nothing was a disappointment here! We ate at the bar and had a terrific time. I'd recommend it to anyone! My grouper was cooked to perfection as was the complete entrée. My fiancé loved his steak too. Finally we got the sticky toffee pudding to go and the sauce was amazing! The actual dessert muffin was a bit dry without that sauce. Overall, we had a wonderful date night here and certainly would recommend it to anyone! P.S. They have a covered and heated patio out front with water bowls for pets!Parking: The parking is shared for the shipping center. Ample parking for dinner service.“
“Our server Chris was exceptional and Aaron behind the bar did not disappoint (but he was raised right). Everything was so tasty and you can tell the kitchen was not afraid to season the food well. Put this on your "must visit now" list immediately.“
“Annette was a pleasure and made sure all our needs were met. She even made a special effort to bring us some bottled water before our departure, loaded all our belongings in the car, and pulled it to the front entrance before we had requested. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.“
“I absolutely adore UC the food is amazing and the staff is superb. I visit this location frequently and the only negative is when you walk in there its an odor not sure what it is from but there is one that is strong…you can smell it when you walk in the door and it never goes away. Other than that i would have given the atmosphere 5 stars“
“Went here after a cheer competition! We had a large party and were set quickly! Our waitress had multiple large parties and was absolutely fabulous! Food was amazing! The kids enjoyed the outside area while waiting on food! Very accommodating to allergies and picky eaters! Highly recommend! Only con is that they don’t have one in Murfreesboro, TN!!“
“Between the dry aged tacos and the quail with a side of “Char”, this place is an amazing spot in Birmingham. I enjoyed half my meal before meeting the owner sitting a couple seats down. He was quick elaborate on the food and hard-work they put into their recipes. Great place with a great team.“
“Authentic ruebens and many other delicious sammiches and eats! The best (and only) real deal, fresh made limeades in the city. One of the few remaining true soda fountains / sandwich shops around. Bustling and hustling during the lunchtime feedings. Fun and busy atmosphere for sure. Great folks at Gilchrests too - always the same dedicated, and super friendly staff at the helm. Must be how they have maintained such consistency and earned their loyal patrons! It's been a regular stop for me and my family for at least the past 40 years. We've all been raised together on Gilchrests limeades for multiple generations!! Yumsville indeed.“
“So, today was my bday and all I wanted was some fried chicken livers - random, I know, but I've been craving them for a few weeks now. I used to get my fried livers from Popeyes but they no longer carry them. I was told about the American Ranch House - whew!!! Those were some of the best friend chicken livers I've had since I left Mississippi. So crispy but not dried out. Full of flavor. I will 100 percent be coming back! A+++++“
“I have updated my review based on a detailed response from management, as I was incorrect regarding water container policy. It's got a nice outdoor patio area with space for the kids to run around. The beer is typically pretty good, much better than the owners previous brewery was when it was sold to Good People. That being said, there is another brewery in the same complex whose beer I do typically prefer- if the beer is your only reason for going, keep that in mind. Surprisingly, their frozen bushwhacker is one of the best I have ever had and is probably my favorite thing to get here out of all the options (when it's available). The food has always been better than standard "bar fare", and there is a pretty inexpensive kids menu. the regular menu It might be a bit higher priced than similar offerings elsewhere, but it depends on what you get. We have never had anything that was bad. The menu at this location and the Avondale location are not the same, so you can't make a comparison there. There are other food options in the complex if you don't want anything on offer there, including a pizza place, so it makes the outdoor area pretty good for parties and events. All in all, it can be a pretty good time for groups. The interior bar area its nicely done and attractive, and the staff, particularly the bartenders, are always pretty fast. Sometimes table service inside will not be quick when they are busy, but the main seating area inside is relatively small compared to the outdoor options. Warmer months are certainly the best time to come if you just want to hang out for a drink and snacks. Finally, I would like to apologize to the establishment for my previous reviews inaccuracies based on the water/container policy of the city of Trussville and the State of Alabama, as that was very unfair to management and staff.“
“I’m so glad I discovered this little hot-dog gemstone nestled up on the hill between Southeastern Salvage and Irondale Pickers. The hot dogs were fabulous- it was almost nostalgic. I haven’t had a hotdog that great in a minute!!! Nice, laid back, clean atmosphere. Owners are very friendly too!“
