“This is another time I wish there were more options for stars. Five just isn't enough. Again, while traveling from Tennessee back to Dallas, we looked up great burger joints. Man, did this place knock it out of the park!!The food was literally amazing! Which, after checking out reviews, we expected.But the people were the greatest! As you notice, we took a pic with the whole crew. They were almost as excited as we were!If you want a good, hometown, local burger place, do not skip a chance to hit Hamburger Heaven!!“

“We ordered take-out at the bar on our first-ever visit to Marty's. Authentic dive bar atmosphere, friendly bartender, accommodations in the front for families, and a 21 and over area beyond the bar with games and a couple of pool tables.Food: I loved my BLT. It was on the small side, but a decent amount of B, and plenty of L & T to keep it fresh. My cohorts both ordered the Breakfast Burger. Expecting the egg to be runny like the photos we saw, and thinking the maple glaze would only be on the patty, they were not-so-pleasantly surprised when their eggs were very well done, and the burger bun was saturated in maple syrup. It had a McGriddle taste to it, but with a hamburger patty instead of a spicier sausage. The homemade chips didn't travel well in a to-go container (2 miles away), but the tots were perfectly cooked and salted. The fries were alright, but nothing like the tots.“

“Went through the drive through. Was told it was closed. I told the lady I was on oxygen and really didn't feel like hauling my tank inside. She said, "Pull forward, sweetie! I've got you covered!" I want down and ordered my usual Whopper with no tomato and Bacon double cheeseburger. Got my order in less than two.minutes. My dinner was hot, fresh, made my way and properly assembled. I've got a huge beard and need lots napkins and I got those too. The white onions on these sandwiches were HOT AND CRISP AND JUST GLORIOUS. THIS STORE IS FIVE MILES OUT OF MY WAY but it will become a lunch favorite.Parking: Nice lot. Pretty level.Wheelchair accessibility: Gentle parking lot right into the door for wheel chairs. I have oxygen cylinders or a portable concentrator but sometimes don't want to lug them in.“

“Our waitress is super friendly and made us feel at comfort when it was our 1st time in Alabama and at Mudtown.I hardly eat fried pickles but Mudtown's fried pickles is beyond DELICIOUS!!! Fresh, crunchy and seasoned just right--LOVE IT!! The Shrimp and grits is really good. I went all out and got warm chocolate chip cookies with vanilla ice cream drizzle with chocolate fudge syrup-- spectacular!! Definitely wouldn't mind coming back again!“

“The cray fish boil they have is amazing. I'm not sure if this is an annual thing or not but it is something worth coming to year after year. Good food, all u can eat for this type of event, drinks, and outdoor setting... just amazing. Ask anyone who has been here before and they will only have good things to say about the experience.“

“First of all, this is a really cool place. I really love the vibe. Lots of cool merch, and then really good food too. The food was great, everyone was working hard to get you your food, and the atmosphere is really good too. Friendly. It is loud, but not in a bad way. The area is actually really nice and there's a nice parking lot right across from the restaurant. Downside: they are kinda slow. This looks like it should be fast food, but it's not. I came right after they opened, and there was maybe 5-6 people in front of me, and it took a good 20 minutes for them to take my order. About 10 to get the order. I don't know if that was bc they just opened up maybe? Wasn't a big deal. Other thing is: this isn't cheap. Most of the burgers and sandwiches are $15 or more. (There's a couple of items that are cheaper, but they aren't what I went for - I went for their burger). Comes with fries, but does not come with a drink. Drinks are all $4.99 and up. So, for a burger, fries, and some sort of fancy lemonade, it was right at $26. Pretty high. I really liked it though. I'll probably go again, and just get the sandwich and fries - because you can't find vegan stuff almost anywhere in Bham, and this is good stuff as long as you're not broke or in a big hurry.“

The owner is from Philly and knows what a Philly cheesesteak should look like, taste like, and the bread, soft and perfect. It is somewhat about the bread! So if you want to get a real Philly Cheesesteak, this is the first place I've found, and I'm from South of Tuscaloosa! “Busy Saturday afternoon and so far I prefer the Auburn location. ? are fantastic beef with little else. Had the Chiflet and loved it big time. Service could’ve been faster but again a packed house. Gotta agree with other reviewers, some staff could watch their mouths especially when waiting at the kitchen. Don’t want to wait on people? Find another job. I don’t need to hear about how much you hate your table. It’s the service industry, be glad pandemic is done. Beer selection was good just wish there was some draft. I’d stop in again. And man, there are some bra-less women in Highland Park. (Not what you think, you’ll understand when you eat there.)“

“We have had our company party here for the last couple of years. We have 20 seated in their party room. A little cramped but still workable for all those folks. Food and service has been outstanding!! Any food choice will be above average but the Apple beignets are a must have and truly special.“

“The food was spectacular, me and my boyfriend loved every single thing we got. However, I didn’t give it 5 stars because nobody sat us down when we walked in. We were just kind of standing around while people were staring at us. Also it’s not that they weren’t friendly, they just didn’t really smile or make eye contact. Restaurant was kind of plain and boring too. Anyways, the actual food was great and we’d come back to eat here! Also beware, entrance a little odd.. had to park and walk up a stairwell to get there. It’s kind of tucked away in the corner.“

“I’ve been a long time customer here at this location for a very long time and I’ve never ever had a bad experience. Tyrone & Christopher both are awesome!! They are the most respectful, they are patient, both seem to be well experienced , and always greet and smile to me and every customer that I see walk through that door. The cooks are well experienced and the food is always fresh. I’ve never had a long wait there that’s why I always try to tip them when I stop by and order, because it’s the people like them that deserves to be rewarded for their Outstanding Customer Service…I must say that Tyrone’s personality stands Out! I Love That Guy Attitude. He seem to be always positive!!!I’ve met the owner a few times and he also has a great attitude when helping expedite. I must say that this owner has a great team!!!!! “Always great food and customer service Travis has been doing his thing now his son is doing the exact same thing came all the way from Houston, TX to get his food and still great as usual but I will say this they need to remember the regular customers and keep certain things they way they are because that's what regular customers know them for. Put them bell peppers back on y'all stuff cause when I lived here years ago that's how it was but the son told me recently that a lot of people don't like them i said to him well I had been coming to this truck 20+ years and I know hundreds of people that prefer the old way better even if it's on the side I'm okay with that so upon request you can just cook it with mine and I'm good. I understand you have to change with the times but some things just shouldn't change.“

“The food was great... The only reason why I gave a 4 for service is because they forgot to skip the onions on my bacon cheddar cheeseburger. And I gave them a 4 for atmosphere because there were only 5 customers including us there at 230p so I couldn't really tell how it would normally be when it was busy... Overall I will definitely be backParking: There is not a drive thru so you have to park somewhere. Well, there is not much room around store for parking and NO BiG vehicle will fit in the parking lot next to location downtown. The parking shared by everyone around location only has about 30 spots and then there are another 20 spots on street, some free and some with meter. There are 7-10 food choices in block for dining so it can be tiredsome to find parking but going during off peak times would help..“

“I just wanted a quick breakfast. I did not expect the kindness and atmosphere. It was recommended that I try the FTEC (French toast, egg, and cheese) and I was not disappointed. I will be back!Parking: Typical Birmingham parking (some paid, some free), but there is a small lot beside Pop's.“

“This is a typical friendly mom and pop establishment,the service is friendly and the food is good.Baked beans is fair the slaw is excellent as is the fries.There hamburger steak may be the best I’ve had and the gravy and onions on top were delicious.Toast is great and the other meats like sliced barbecue pork is great as well.Only issue is when you order half and half tea it comes out tasting like regular sweet tea.If your watching sugar intake just order unsweetened tea.The atmosphere is really good and family friendly.I would definitely recommend trying this place for good barbecue“

“They are a small business food truck that demonstrates nothing but exemplary customer service. My husband went by while they were in Helena for their to die for peach crumble. They were out of the dessert but they offered to make half a pan for us and said they will have it ready the next day at their next location at Shelby Baptist. I went by to pick it up and not only did they have it ready but they brought it out to me at my car. They are such nice people and I’m very happy at the customer service they display. Let’s support Battle Axe and I urge you to make it a point to go by and try all of their scrumptious food. Thank you Battle Axe.“

“I went to Heroes for brunch on Sunday and it was great! I ordered the loaded hashbrowns with the chicken sausage, a chocolate doughnut, and an iced vanilla latte. It was a bit on the expensive side, but I really enjoyed the food and the coffee! I definitely think the hashbrowns were with the price because of how filling it was, and the doughnut was a nice added treat. The workers here are always super kind (though I wish they'd fix their BlazerBucks machine since it's always out of service) and the dining area is nice and atmospheric. It's in a very pretty spot by Railroad Park, so the view is pretty as well! As for COVID-19 precautions and sustainability, I saw how frequently the workers cleaned the inside and it seems to be well-maintained. Masking or social distancing procedures don't seem to be in place from what I can tell. If you dine-in, there seems to be very little waste, though I would assume plastic containers and utensils are used for take-out. Overall, I had a really great experience and I think this location is like a hidden gem!“

“A friend brought me here shortly after moving to the area, and I keep coming back because of the unique Disgraceland burger, with peanut butter and jelly, and an egg, and bacon, on a normal burger. An odd combo that I surprisingly like! Some unique Sunday brunch options I'm starting to try out too. My only complaint is the music can be very loud, but then, it is a bar, and there's a reason (music for one) I normally avoid them. The food makes an exception in this case!“

“Brought my daughter in as she had never been . She loved the butterfly shrimp and first time for her to have onion rings . She ate um up. Clean restaurant, nice atmosphere and very nice service. The prices for the fish are a little bit higher than say a Captain D's but they are using higher end fish, I think North Atlantic Cod and Walleye . Nothing against Pollock, but just stating why it's a bit higher in price in my opinion.The frozen custard ice cream Sunday was top! I would recommend this restaurant.“

“I took a group of 10 women to your establishment last night for a treat and we weren’t disappointed! The service was friendly and patient with our big order and the food was delicious! “Typical 5 guys restaurant, dont expect anything fancy but polite, and courteous staffing, but yall not here for that yall wanna know why i wrote this review. Their food is immaculate IT IS ALWAYS HOT ??? I MEAN TWO BIG BOYS IN A PHONE BOOTH HAWT. AND THEY COOK IT WITH DAMN LOVE THE FOOD IS SO GOOD. “This place was amazing! One of the best burgers i have ever had!! The owner/chef and Angel were so so so nice. I can’t thank them enough. We were driving through from STL to FL and stopped in for a quick lunch with some family. I am so glad we did. We have a 1 year old and 3 year old. The 3 year old didn’t like the sauce on the burger (moms fault) so they got us a new bun and then we asked for some hot water to make a bottle and the owner went above and beyond and boiled water for us so it would stay hot for the rest of our car ride! Thank you so much for the amazing food and kind service.“

“I had a great evening in the Pizitz Food Hall. I decided to try out this place and the employees were very nice. They allowed me to patiently take my time to choose the topping I wanted. The employees made great suggestions on what I should try for the first time. I ate a hot dog and it was so delicious! It came out fresh and was so full of flavor. Other fast food restaurants in the Irondale/Bham area often offer terrible service, including forgotten and incorrect orders, long lines, and even managers yelling at employees. Whenever I visit Milo's, it is a great experience!! The cashiers are always pleasant, and our order is correct. My favorite meal is the toasted cheese sandwich with pickles, onions, and Milo's sauce, fries, and a Coke Zero.“

“Sol's Hog Dogs is a staple. I don't know their historical background BUT they really have been around forever!! The location in Norwood is what I remember growing up. I had been trying to get my hands on some Sol's since before Easter. Unfortunately, they don't answer their phones. So annoying! The day I visited for lunch, it was packed. I placed my order at the counter and they call out your order when it's ready. This could cause some confusion. What if multiple people ordered the same thing?! I had no issue with my order but there's definitely a more effective way...... My 2 hotdogs (well done) all the way were fantastic!!. Fries were just okay. Skinny and borderline greasy. I still ate them all up! lol Next time I will dine in instead of eating in the car. Highly recommend. You are certain to take in the rich history they have created within the walls of Sol's hotdogs!“
