The lady cooking the food started yelling & screaming at the cashier to make sure that you write down exactly what they want on the sandwich. Literally every time I've asked for it rare, midrare, or on the rare side the cashier says "Well done?"

"No," I say, "the opposite, less done, more rare, not as cooked as normal."

"I understand," she says.

But here's my well done burger again, even says "well done" as a modifier on the receipt. It's baffling. Gave 'em three tries, made the same mistake...

Back in 1983 there was a Sneaky Pete's place a few hundred yards from the high school I attended. The highschool cafeteria was like a Turkish prison but not nearly as nice.So, without permission,, I would stroll to Sneaky Pete's most days at lunch. It was truly a magical lunch hour. I'd order hotdogs, cheeseburgers, a coke etc. and dine in tranquility.. maybe play the arcade games they had then meander back to school.I shared all that to report that Sneaky Pete's...
