New Years Eve. Pay $40 for entry for 2. No sign about toilets not working. No sign about water line breaking. Not 1 toilet would flush. Had no clue. Pumped soap on my hands, and no water. Went to front and asked what was going on. OHHH, waterline broken. Cant wash the soap off my hands. Ask lady at front for help and sjhe gives me a napkin, then had the audacitu to say' well what do you want, i said water". She was so offended. Should have been saying sorry we dodnt announce that before you paid your $40. Yeah, never again

Addison and Michelle are the best! We came here on Thanksgiving and felt right at home. They had an entire Thanksgiving dinner for $6. Will be back!

It is very dark in this bar. You are not able to see too far into the crowd. The pool tables are lit nicely and they have at least six I believe. Bathrooms are clean. Servers were nice and friendly, but they did not have enough of them as there was always a line to the bar, which is where you had to go get your drinks the wind died down which it did not until the end of the night. This was the third time going there and it has been like this all three times. They have great bands! pool tables are not APA grade but they are usable.

Had agreat time! Our party was 5 adults ... ranging in age from 72 to 77. Folks there were estimated at in their 30's. Everyone was both respectful and kind. Lots of laughs and beer was cold. Well worth going. We will be back!

Awesome food at reasonable prices! Excellent service, live bands on the weekends. Clientele is awesome, a good mix of ages & friendly people. I shall return!! Nacho Daddy was the band playing & they put on one hell of a show.

If smokey dive bars, multiple pool tables, live bands, waitresses that constantly make sure your drink is always full and a place where everyone knows your name isn't your jam, then this isn't your place.

Went to try the $6 lunch special and ended up getting dessert too. Today was pot roast with potatoes and carrots or meatloaf and you get to choose 2 of 3 veggies. I got the pot roast, squash casserole, and turnip greens along with a Parker house roll. With a drink and dessert it's $11 and really that's a fantastic price for the meal you're getting. The chocolate expresso pie is great and there were a few to choose from. I brought a lot of it home, so it will also be dinner.
First time there, just found out about the special meal deals. They should be packed. It's an out of the way place only maybe 15 minutes from Gardendale. Will return. Delicious.

I always go for the atmosphere, music, billiards, and fun. Great place for a laid back date night or just to party a little. Highly recommend going once and seeing if it's your kind of scene. Food is fine and most dishes are pretty good. Always have a designated driver!! Have fun!!

If you want to go to a bar, and you think of that classic bar in the movie scene, where it's A good old smokey bar that's got a good loud band that you'll bang your head to and get drunk and try to play pool and then get mad at the person when they beat you, this is a spot.
If you want upscale and if you don't mind paying $7 for a beer and you want to be able to wear khaki pants and a sport coat and meet the wealthiest people in the world while drinking your $10 Coors light, there's tons of places just head to Birmingham.
But if you want real people that have real problems and real situations but they throw those problems out the door when they walk in here and they'll give the shirt off their back for you and they'll protect you and they'll be your family and you'll hear a great band who's not trying to be signed and being next Morgan wallen but rather who's playing because they enjoy music and love music and love what they do and you'll meet the greatest people in the world, they might not be the financially wealthiest people in the world, but they are when it comes to heart, though the wealthiest folks in the world, you want to hold smokey bar with good old boys and great band, very loud music, it's hot and it's a good damn Friday night, then this is your spot.

If the owner is the one that's reading this and going to reply then I would like to say something to the owner...
Now I've never met the person that I'm telling you about but I can tell you that they took a situation that wasn't even theirs, nor was it their problem nor their situation nor did they have anything to do with anything about the situation but yet they fixed the situation, so if you're the owner and you're reading this I want to give a shout out to one particular person......

You can let me know if she got upset because I wrote her name on here but I did need to identify her specifically to you because I called and I asked her if she knew if it would be okay if I came in and worked a couple of hours in order to earn some gas. I'm not going to look for a handout nor would I have asked for one and I'd already been to a couple of the police departments and went by churches even though it's 9:00 on a Tuesday. So I called here this was one of the 45 places that I called and I just asked a, do you have any extra work that I can do just for right now just so that I can earn enough gas to go where I was going and she said there's not any extra work and I don't know if you haven't enough gas to get here and she used other means in order to get me the finances in order for me to put gas in my vehicle and I just put all of it in gas and before I cranked up to leave here, she needed a shout out so if you're the owner, you tell her this straggler is very thankful. The only other option would have been to get towed which if I didn't have gas I certainly couldn't have gotten my vehicle out of a tow company.

If you're a customer reading this or potential customer reading this, what I was bringing up earlier about the $10 for a beer and a sport coat place, I can assure you they wouldn't have done what this lady did. That's the difference in where you go to bars. You can either go to a chain pay a lot of money and look the part or you can go to a real bar with real people with real situations real care and real compassion and you can meet a lady like this and that's the difference. Use local and if you're traveling by, if you come through on a Friday, this place it's going to be lit like a candlestick
