This food lives up to it's name--Soul Food. I am a longtime, from scratch southern cook and know good, well seasoned, home-cooked food. Delicious collard greens, pintos, chicken and dressing, macaroni and real cheddar cheese, huge pork chops. The portions are over the top. It was easily enough for two meals. I live 1.5 hrs away but plan to visit again.

Lovely local restaurant that serves food that won't let you go until you clean your plate. All three of us were very happy with our Saturday afternoon, late lunch... Moist baked chicken, fresh turnip greens, Sunday potato salad, cheesy Mac and cheese... Even the slaw was better than most we've had!

Barbara rendered such excellent customer service. She even made something specifically for the picky eater in our group. The food was amazing! We had chicken n dressing, greens, mac n cheese, sweet potatoes and cornbread. I took my caramel cake to go and haven't eaten it yet. I know it's going to be delicious. We rode from Hsv to try this eatery.

Hands down the best food I’ve ever had in my life. I knew the second I saw the ramshackle building that we were in for some incredible barbecue.Apparently it used to be the county jail and town hall. Kinda cool.Anyway between everyone in my party, we got pork chops, cheese burgers, ribs, macaroni and cheese, collard greens, fries, corn bread, and pinto beans.All of it was amazing. None of it was left over. I’ve never had pork chops fall off the bone before but these practically did and the rub on them was ? I will be recommending this place to everybody, as well as driving out of my way to go there again anytime I can.11/10
