Really delicious. I was at the hotel for three days and ate there every day.

The place is very immaculate and has an up scale look. The older gentleman that puts together the sushi is very articulate, and you can tell it's a passion of his.
The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Also, if you're picking up an order, it is quick and when you get home with the food it's still hot and fresh.

First time here, and it was a nice atmosphere. Very clean, love the menus, and the food was amazing. The prices were really great and i love how they give you free fresh fruit at the end of the meal which i wasn't expecting. While it is located on the side of a hotel and opens into the lobby, it's still a very pleasant atmosphere. You should definitely try it.

Tucked inside Best Western Plus off Madison’s Blvd this restaurant is just awesome. Terrific hospitality, delicious food, no loud music and the food offerings include a fusion of Malaysian, Thai and Indonesian delicacies. We enjoyed and will Visit again.

We tried Banana Leaves for the first time- ordered online for pickup. The restaurant itself was older, but looked clean. The service was quick and nice, so no complaints there, but the FOOD. Ugh! We ordered the Tom Kha soup, and the Tom Yum soup. Both were ok, but if you’ve had good Tom Kha, this was watered down and had no tangy, sweet coconut flavor. The Tom Yum, same (watered down), but with added red pepper, so a little spicier.
We got the spicy crunchy shrimp roll, and it was good. The only good thing we had.
We also got the Malaysian chicken satay. The chicken was good, but “bouncy”, you’ll see what I mean about this later. The issue here was with the sauce. The peanuts were very stale. If you have had peanut butter that’s been in the cupboard way too long, you understand what I mean.
For entrees, my husband got the Spicy Mango Chicken, and I got the Baba Malay Curry. They must’ve used a cornstarch slurry to thicken the sauce, bc both were not very flavorful at all. And we asked for extra spicy. The Baba Malay Curry looked so creamy in the picture, but the sauce was translucent, and tasted super watered-down. I had to add both table salt and soy sauce to it, for it to not be so bland. The chicken had a spongy, rubbery texture on both entrees that is making me pray that we didn’t get food poisoning. It was such an odd texture. The spicy mango chicken tasted only slightly better, but was also strangely lacking in flavor. The steamed rice was good. The Thai tea was good. The rest sucked, and I’m sad we wasted money on it. I have a newborn, so money is tight, and eating out is a luxury. I’m super bummed about this one.

First time trying this place tonight and it was delicious! We got the Pad Thai, Roni Canai, Gyoza, and Thai tea to go. Everything was fresh and tasted great. The service was also excellent when entering the restaurant. Definitely recommend giving this place a try!

Came to Banana Leaves with our two kids. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was worth fighting the Madison traffic to get to. The Roti, Thai Tea, and Shrimp dumplings were a few of the amazing items on the menu.

The food and service were fantastic! The term hidden gem is an understatement. We were skeptical with the location but do not be alarmed. We got the curry laksa, roti canai, and pineapple fried rice. All very good! The laksa has an amazing coconut and lemon grass broth. The roti canai is so light and airy. We will definitely go back.

We originally found Banana Leaves through Uber Eats. They offer great savings and free food through this delivery service. We finally visited the restaurant in person, and were a little off-put by the Italian relics from the past, but we were pleased once we entered the dining room. Also note, it is attached to a hotel and accessible through the lobby. Our server was kind, attentive, and evenspoke Chinese with my partner. The food was amazing in person (it is with delivery too). Prices are fair. It is overall a great Japanese restaurant.

I didn’t realize it was attached to a hotel but it was still decent food. Very reasonable prices too. The curry was more of a soup, and there was a little bit of miscommunication with the server that took a long time to even tale our order. But once we got our food, it was all very tasty
