Yes their cakes are very good. However, beware. We purchased one for our 3 year old's birthday and when we picked it up, it was nothing like we ordered, not even close. We mentioned the discrepancy in the store, but they were reluctant to replace or fix it. After we brought it home, we called customer service and was told to return the original cake for a replacement. The new cake was much closer to what we ordered. However, the next day the original cake was sliced and for sale in their cooler. The uniqueness of this cake leaves no question that it was the same cake we returned the day before. This cake was in our possession for several hours, and while it was returned unharmed, that might not always be the case. I will never eat food from there again. Zero stars.

I ordered a cake from Edgar's in Madison for my daughter's Birthday. I wanted something that looked classic. I checked all of the cake options online at their website. I selected the "Sophia" cake and then called to place my order. The Edgar's staff was very friendly and helpful. I wanted lemon buttercream between the layers and a Happy Birthday inscription on top of the cake. The cake was ready on the day and time promised and it turned out beautiful! Everyone raved about how delicious the cake tasted. The cake and icing were both very light and not heavy at all. The lemon buttercream between the layers was perfect. I highly recommend Edgar's and very highly recommend the "Sophia" cake.

I recently ordered a strawberry cake from Edgar's, and it was absolutely delicious. I ordered the cake online, and their mobile system was incredibly easy to use. I was able to select the day and time for pickup. They also offered anything else I may need like a cake cutter, but it wasn't intrusive.The cake was ready when I came to pick it up, and I was in and out in just a couple of minutes. The person who assisted me made sure the writing on top of the cake was correct, and did a great job boxing the cake.The store was clean, and they had quite a few options for baked items you could just walk in and buy. It was also easy to park right in front of the store.A few days after I picked up the cake a gentleman called to make sure I had a good experience.Honestly, this experience felt a little bit like I was in a time machine. When was the last time a business made everything easy for their customers and cared enough to follow up afterwards?I would highly recommend Edgar's to anyone looking for a cake for a special occasion. They aren't cheap, but the value is certainly there.

First time having food from here was a wonderful experience. The second time has turned me off from it though unfortunately. The veggie omelet was not cooked through so the middle was still runny egg. I tried one bite before just putting it away. That one bite was flavorless and nothing but a strong or old egg taste though which surprised me because the French toast here was amazing before. And although I placed the order online and it was ready when I arrived, it took quite a while for anyone to come to the counter to ask if they could assist me with just handing my bag over to me.. even though a few workers were there talking behind the counter 3 feet away from me. I was nice and told them it was okay but the lack of professionalism doesn't sit well when it comes to wanting to bring coworkers or family back here. I hope to try it again in the future but the waste of time and money today tells me I should wait a while for the kinks to be worked out. ??♀️

We had the private room for a small luncheon and special occasion. We reserved and paid for this space but weren’t given any info about the use of it. The staff did absolutely nothing. When I asked for waters for everyone I was given attitude by the employee and told we should have place everyone’s order 48 hours in advance! No one told us this and I didn’t deserve a rude response after asking for water! After ordering our food they messed it up and when I asked for mustard I was again given an attitude. The food was decent but my experience was not

My favorite is the warm soft orange or cinnamon rolls. Center square is the best. I first started going to Edgers in business district near Birmingham for their Strawberry Cake is fabulous.

I was really hoping for more. I rarely stop somewhere to pick up a dessert. Almost never actually. The parking is off a bit and their sidewalk to get into the store is poorly accommodating. You have to walk through the grass or walk to the front of the building. Everyone walked in the grass. I got a piece of chocolate cake from the shelf and was presented with an opportunity to tip the cashier for ringing me out. The cake was dry and flavorless. The only flavor I got from icing was a sugar taste. It was not terribly expensive at $4.50 a slice but I think I'll pass next time. Maybe the food is better because there were a lot of customers sitting but I figured they excel with cake being a bakery.
I ordered breakfast online, the meal was ready at the time it was projected to be ready. This was my first interaction with this location, and in the past, when I visited this chain, it was for their German Chocolate Cake. I was sleeping on the breakfast. I ordered the veggie breakfast bowl and added mushrooms. The portion size was huge for me, but I will finish it up tomorrow. I typically do not like my food mixed together, but the combination of elements used in this dish paired well together. I also ordered the French Toast with fruit and bacon. I did not get a picture of that dish, but the entire meal was consumed by the intended recipient without any negative feedback, so I will call that a success. Based on my experience today, I would definitely return to try other items on the menu.Vegetarian options: Veggie breakfast bowl

I was very disappointed with the food and the service wasn’t the best. They messed up my order and by the time they corrected my order my boyfriend had already been finished with his meal. My new omelette was awful, I didn’t even eat it. We just left because it was an overall bad experience and they didn’t seem to care.

The food was delicious, I had the club because they were out of Swiss Cheese for the Reuben I was craving one) the potato salad was delicious. They had one size for drinks and with a long line I did want to get back in line for another. A place this size could have more staff instead of standing in line. At lunch they only had one person taking orders when they had two registers. They had hundreds of single serve pieces of cake in plastic containers, however I didn't see dates on them? How do they know?? Very clean!
