“I've been going to Waffle House for years, and even though it's not what one would call a 5-Star restaurant, it's still a nice experience with great food. The atmosphere and mood of the place shifts with the time of day. Early in the morning, when you have your breakfast crowd (and I do mean crowd because they are PACKED) the energy is way up. All the staff, and even customers sometimes, are zipping about at break neck speed trying (successfully) to get everyone's orders correctly placed, while the cook methodically moves faster than I've ever seen anyone purposely move, all the while listening for orders being endlessly yelled out to him over all the commotion of the rest of the place. It's quite a show to watch honestly, to me at least, because I know I could never dream of working at such a fast pace under such stress and still manage to get everything out on time and correctley made to order. The night time/late night Waffle House is far more relaxed with a real chill vibe and far more private and leisurley experience. Do they ever make mistakes, of course, they are human. Has an employee ever been over worked or had a bad day or week and misspoke to a customer or didn't have the brightest of dispositions, of course, they are human. Do they, or the vast majority try to do the best they can given each of their current unique situations they live with day to day, I do believe so. The food is great, the people are people and mostly great, and the physical establishment is solid decorated just like you'd expect, and clean for the most part. Yes I have seen the exact opposite of everything I've said here, but that is not the case most of the time. And even when it is the case there is usually more going on behind the scene that more or less explains such short falls. I like the place, and I'll continue to eat there, forever perhaps lol.“
“3am in the middle of the recent snowstorm, Hanna and team served my partner and I some delicious food (even while menu was limited due to the storm) with an amazing attitude and hospitality. My utmost thanks for a wonderful first time at Waffle House. What's an American without a 3am snowstorm Waffle House experience? What a cozy atmosphere paired with top-tier service!“
