“My friend and I stumbled upon this place by chance after getting tired of the rundown dive bars in South Huntsville. We’ve been back at least once a week ever since.

The staff as a whole—Rob, Kaitlyn, Jude, Lauren, RJ, Nikki, and Presley—are incredibly knowledgeable about their respective crafts and create such a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Know nothing about wine but want to take the plunge? Visit Vine & Oak. My friend had never tried wine before but decided to join me because it’s my preferred drink. Kaitlyn, their sommelier, immediately put together a white wine flight for him and explained, in incredible detail, the flavor profile and history behind each of her selections. It turned what could have been an intimidating experience into an unforgettable one.

Their whiskey, gin, tequila, and vodka selections are all impressively diverse, and even their least expensive pours are what I’d consider top-shelf. They recently launched a new cocktail menu where every drink is inspired and crafted by one of the staff members. I never thought I’d be an espresso martini kind of guy, but Jude’s take on the classic has me completely hooked.

Trivia Tuesdays, live music on Thursdays, and a variety of other events throughout the week make every visit feel fresh and exciting. Their wall of wines available by the bottle is extensive, making it nearly impossible not to find something you’ll enjoy.

As a born-and-raised Southern man with a deep military background, a wine and cocktail bar isn’t somewhere I’d normally picture myself spending time. Vine & Oak completely changed that. Whether you’re a seasoned wine enthusiast or someone who’s never had a glass before, there’s genuinely something here for everyone.“
