The Hatter Cafe was such a nice surprise and wonderful experience when my Boyfriend and I came to Mentone for a quick weekend getaway. We stopped at the gift shop and had a chat with the owner, ordered 2 loaves of their fresh delicious bread, and came back for dinner at the café. It was amazing and the service was top notch! The experience was so wonderful that we came back for breakfast. If you are ever in this neck of the woods, give them a try, you won't regret it!
It’s an undiscovered treasure in Mentone . Great menu, great servers , casual and sedate dining . Tea room atmosphere with nice 60s /70s music classics .
The menu is very interesting and different . The meat pie and turnip greens were awesome Wife got French toast . Loved it I would give the Hatter 5 stars for sure

The ambience was beautiful! loved all the decor! The service was excellent and food delicious! Loved talking crab cakes with the owner, too! I will be back for the crab Benedict! 🤩
