Wildflower Cafe Reviews
we were treated as if they did not want to wait on us. we had a party of four and the lady at the desk was going to set the people behind did us but not us. she said she only had tables for two so we said that is fine set us at different tables then all of the sudden she sat us at a table for six. I didn't understand the issue.. my sandwich was fantastic but the rest of the food was not great...
My husband, daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal and our server. The food was delicious and we received huge portions. It was the best thing I have eaten in awhile! I highly recommend the Mediterranean Pasta! We will be back. ❤️
Our first visit was disappointing. The hostess and servers seem uninterested in whether you eat there or not. The food is extremely overpriced for what you receive.
We experienced fine dining pricing but not fine dining food. I can't prove it but I think our food was microwaved. The area where we were seated was in a distant corner. Our view was limited and we didn't even know there was live music. I feel cheated that we missed out on so much that the restaurant and store have...read full review

The Wildflower Cafe is a hidden gem with excellent food and a warm atmosphere. The salmon cakes and spinach kish are delicious, along with the strawberry pound cake. The friendly staff and the service and food quality make it worth the wait, despite the challenge of parking due to its popularity. The sampler and parm dipping sauce are highly recommended. It's a unique spot with fresh and tasty dishes, perfect for a visit after a long day.
The quality of the food, the atmosphere, and the service have made the Wildflower Cafe a favorite among customers. Whether it’s the Mediterranean Pasta, the smothered chicken, the steak filet, or the tomato pie entree, everything on the menu is amazing. The desserts, especially the peanut butter pie, are also a highlight. The restaurant has become a weekly staple for many, with the owner, Moon, creating the best recipes. The Canyon Burger on the kids menu is also a standout, with one customer calling it the best burger they've ever had.
Many visitors say the place hits every time and has become a tradition for groups of friends. The staff is always friendly, and the live music adds to the good times. The tomato pie is a must-try, often accompanied by pasta, shrimp and grits, or other favorites. The dessert options are also highly praised, making it a true Alabama experience that visitors recommend everyone should try at least once.
This eclectic little restaurant on the main road through Mentone, Alabama, draws many visitors who say it is worth visiting. The food is great, and the people are wonderful. It’s a place that creates a memorable experience, so just get in the car and go.
Update – 6 Years Later: The Wildflower Cafe still impresses visitors. The prime rib has always been a favorite, though on a Sunday, the prime rib isn’t available. Instead, a prime rib sandwich on sourdough is offered, and it’s described as a culinary slap in the face — in the best possible way. The sourdough soaked up the spice and flavor, and the tender meat combined for an incredible taste experience. If this is what they serve when prime rib isn’t available, many hope for more Sundays like this. And of course, the peanut butter pie remains a highlight, continuing the restaurant’s reputation for doing everything right.
