We love coming to the Catfish House, but tonight it was not up to the usual standard. The portions are much smaller, the prices have gone up and usually we wait no more than 20 minutes for our food, however tonight we had to wait 45 minutes for our food. And it was not as busy as it usually is on a Friday night. Will we come back, yes we will. We are going to hope this was a fluke.
We are from out of town and the Catfish restaurant was recommended to us. I ordered the combo plate: fried shrimp and fried oysters with homemade onion rings. The food was absolutely delicious. My husband had the catfish and my son had the Seafood platter. Both platters were very good. They bring white beans, coleslaw and hash puppies to the table as a side. All was very tasty. Our server was amazing! Definitely hope to go back if we are ever in Millbrook Alabama.
My husband and I ate here while passing through the area. The clerk at our hotel recommended it. It was very good. The best hush puppies we have ever ate. We live in North Alabama, but we will visit again if we get the chance. Very good food and our waiter was phenomenal.
