Another outstanding meal from Grits Cafe! Try the Mallorca, the Western Omelette, or French Toast.

This place would have been alright if I didn’t have a lying waitress. I came for the French toast which the restaurant was sold out of. So, I ask the waitress was their omelets fulfilling and she said yes and promised that I would be full and that it was plenty of food. Get the omelette and it’s just a basic omelette that you can make at the house, it was not stuffed or big. I was expecting it to be stuffed since the waitress said it was fulfilling. I have seen omelets at restaurants bigger than this and cheaper. This was just a simple omelette with 1 biscuit for $14. She could have been honest and suggested another entree instead of lying. I told the waitress that I was still hungry, she just laughed. I already had to wait 30-40 minutes to be seated and another 30 minutes on food, just to get scraps. I should have went to Waffle House or Cracker Barrel. I would have got my food quicker and would have been full. To lie just to get people money is a low. Then when I asked to be checked out she decides to ask other customers to see if they want to check out as well and check everyone before checking me out to be lowdown. Then she proceeds to ask other customers if they were coming back and did they like the food, so I could hear their response. When she gets to me she doesn’t ask those questions because she knew she lied. This place needs to work on their customer service before more people discontinue this place. As for me, I won’t be coming back.

The waitress Elizabeth "Liz" was very patient and knowledgeable about the menu. I ordered the loaded grits and a single pancake. My coworker ordered the cowboy breakfast and the the biscuit was eeally good but the pork chop lacked seasoning. The portions are HUGE however the food is just average and nothing brag worthy. For the atmosphere I would return but for the food not so much. The mimosa was good too

The food is great. I did not give them a 5 star because we asked them to cater our daughter's brunch. They said someone will give us a call. Three weeks in after calling/texting, they emailed back stating they couldn't do it. So no, I will not go back to support because of the time wasted with the back and forth, irresponsible.

The food is okay at best, they didn't give us any syrup or utensils for our order to go. You would expect a place that's only open 2 days a week to have what they need for those two days. My shrimp and grits were good, but for $18, the portion was small, and only got 4 shrimp. This was not worth the money!

Very pleasant staff ... Very long wait for food though, I was about ready to leave. When part of it was finally brought to us, we were informed that my husband's order was messed up and being re-cooked. It took about another 20 minutes for his meal to be brought out. I was nearly done with my food by that time, so that kind of sucked and took away from our enjoyment. Actually, I would have thought that they would have offered him a free beverage, a biscuit, or something but they didn't. Our food was tasty, but I found the loaded grits to be a little TOO cheesy, almost nauseatingly so, and my husband didn't think his ?? were sweet enough or the thin syrup thick enough. We did enjoy my blackened shrimp ? and his conecuh sausage though.

WOW, what a find! Open only on Saturdays and Sundays from 8-2pm. These folks bust it for those 6 hours! We got there today at 11:30 and waited for almost 40 minutes for a table. The place is small and very quaint so the wait was expected from reading other posts. We both had plenty of time to review the menu and decided on the Shrimp and Loaded Grits. Absolutely Heavenly and worth the wait. Grilled shrimp perfectly seasoned and the grits were totally a mind blower! Full of flavor and I seriously tried to finish it but I couldn’t.? I’m also all about the bathrooms as that’s a part of the restaurant that gets overlooked. Basic is okay but this was sooo super cute and cozy. We’ll definitely be back to try other items on the menu soon. Awesome job!?
