Excellent prepared food to order, wonderful server speaks Japanese. Food was authentic Japanese prepared and Excellent tasting sushi was prepared perfectly and extremely fresh. It is a definite must try in the Mobile area.

This quaint restaurant provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere in the middle of the bustling town of mobile, alabama. Upon entering, it is almost like visiting a new town. The place is furnished with light wooden bar and booths. The decorations are minimal, but provide a pleasant and floral touch to the room. The room is lit by paper lanterns too. I would highly recommend the place on atmosphere alone, but the food and service is excellent as well. The portioning is fulfilling, but not so much so that you feel uncomfortable. Each dish is very simplistic and balanced too. I would recommend the soup they have prepared, usually the udon. The eel is also very good. The lovely people who own the place and work there are pleasant and friendly. Even with crowds, they are able to tend to everyone.

The food is traditional Japanese food. Despite of the limited selections, all taste really good. The restaurant reminds me of those small but good Japanese restaurants in Japan. Good and family style service.

Really great food. This is definitely a “hole in the wall” kind of place. It’s so cute and quaint. The food is amazing. It’s the “Japanese Grandma” cooking dinner experience. It’s not going to be your Americanized Japanese food. The rolls are not flooded with rice and the kind I like to eat “as is” versus drenched in sauce. The ramen is my fave by far. Highly recommend.
