We visited Biriyani Pot and ordered a to-go Mysore Masala Dosa. Unfortunately, after waiting about 45 minutes, the North Indian chef was unable to prepare it. That said, the situation was handled very professionally by the female attendant, she apologized sincerely and immediately issued a refund.
She then went above and beyond by helping us choose two non-veg dishes and personally going into the kitchen to stand beside the chef to ensure the food was prepared exactly as we requested spicy and flavorful. We enjoyed the food at home, and both dishes were excellent and absolutely delicious.
Despite the initial delay, the customer service and food quality turned the experience around completely. Very happy with the service and the taste. Would definitely return.
PS: If you’re Indian or want the proper flavor then you’ll have to tell them. So they can prepare accordingly.

I would give rating in negative . Don’t waste your money and appetite. Quantity also not even enough for single normal person. Not at all worth it and taste bad. Charging members mark single water bottle for $1.

Ordered takeout food for dinner and they had it ready on time! The food was great. I asked for my butter chicken not too spicy, and while it was still a little spicy, it still tasted yummy!

We placed a pickup order from Biryani Pot, and the experience was very disappointing. The food was extremely bad, and the biryani itself was spoiled. The taste and smell were off, making it completely inedible. This was unexpected and unacceptable, especially for a place known for biryani. We ended up wasting both money and food. Definitely needs serious improvement in food quality and freshness.

Really bad experience! Despite very less crowd food took A LOT of time to come. And after it came it was not worth of wait at all!!! Pani puri was stale and water had no taste with lots onion floating in it?? Uttapam was the worst I've ever tried. Completely testless, not fermented. It came just with peanut chutney and sambhar despite me telling that I have peanut allergy. Sambhar had a small bug floating in it and I immediately let the server know and returned it. But to my big surprise I was still charged for it!!! The owner is rude!

I wish, I could give 0 star. We ordered few items such as dosa, pani puri uttpam etc and every item was bad/ had no taste. We reported a bug in the uttpam; instead of offering a replacement owner came out to fight . Bad food bad restaurant BAD owner attitude.

We ordered paneer biryani, chicken biryani and egg biryani. The taste was average and dry. The egg biryani was fine compared to other.

Worst food and service. Veg Biryani was decent. Onion dosa came with stale sambar and ice cold chatni. When complained about the stale sambar the server first argued that it is good. I asked him to try by himself and later he took it back to kitchen and came back acknowledging that it is way past it's expiry. Worst part was there was no substitute, and my kid ended up eating dosa by itself and removing the uncooked onion. Pani puri was ordered as an appetizer along with fresh lime soda but both came after the meal, that too after reminding the server. Pani puri was another disaster, may be the cook substituted salt with every other spice. But I was fully charged for everything I ordered.

We’ve eaten at Biryani Pot in Houston many times, and it’s usually solid—dependable, and satisfying. So when we saw this place was a franchise, we went in with reasonable expectations.
Unfortunately, the biryani here had no taste, no flavor, no salt. Imagine biryani losing its soul, identity, and purpose —and transforming into boiled white rice pretending to be something it’s not. Similar lines.
The only saving grace? A wedge of lemon buried among capsicum (yes, capsicum—you read that right). No raita. No salan. Just rice suffering from severe imposter syndrome.
Honestly, the real Biryani Pot should consider making a trip here, reclaiming their franchise badge, and restoring balance to the universe. It would be their good deed for the year.

DONT GO! if you have high expectations for Indian food. As they don’t know how to make food, I would say any recipe followed food will turn out better if you try to make it yourself...They would still charge you if food is as bad as dust ..if you want to make your experience worse. Go here..

One of the worst chicken dhum biryani I have ever had. It was like two chicken pieces mixed with white rice mixed with two colors. Please donot fool people by selling these kind of food and expect good reviews and we also ordered butter chicken which was okay along with two uncooked Naan. I am posting pics for evidence.

If i have the zero starts i would have given that ordered paneer and chicken biryani, chicken biryani is flavor less with no salt and Panner we asked them spicy so they added Raw chili powder to flavor rice, imagine you cant even keep in mouth.
Who ever is coming to Gulf shores or this side Highly avoid this Restaurant instead of eating Nothing we paid 32$.

We visited this restaurant for the buffet, but the experience was extremely disappointing.
The main issue was biryani not being available. We requested it at least six times and waited for over 30 minutes, but it was never refilled. When the owner finally came, he made us wait another 5 minutes, and then bluntly told us that if an item is not available in the buffet, customers just have to wait or leave. He clearly said it is not the restaurant’s policy to refill everything, and some items may or may not be available — yet customers are still expected to pay the full buffet price and leave. This was said very rudely.
We weren’t trying to argue — we just wanted to give feedback — but the response was dismissive and unprofessional.
On top of that, the food quality has gone downhill. The ownership seems to have changed, and it’s definitely not the same biryani pot anymore. Items like Chicken 65, Tandoori Chicken, and Butter Chicken were overloaded with artificial color, with almost no real masala or flavor. Honestly, the food felt unsafe to eat.
This is genuine feedback for future customers.
If you still plan to visit,
Very disappointed and would not recommend this place based on our experience.
Improved a lot… I stopped coming here before but then again I gave it a try.. Now it's so delicious, tasty and we really enjoyed the lunch.
