Wow. This restaurant has some of the best sushi rolls and hibachi. We ordered the Filet Mignon Hibachi and Jag Roll. Both were superb and all ingredients seem very fresh. Will definitely be back when we come through the area again.

Decided I wanted to treat myself to sushi after getting my hair done so came to a place I've never been before to give it a go. I got here initially around 3 but found a sign that said temporary business hours 4-9 -- like so many places they obviously have staffing shortages. Not deterred, I decided to go next door to Jerusalem cafe for a Turkish coffee and app before coming back over just after 4. I was the first customer to arrive so the chef told me to sit where I liked. It's a small restaurant with pleasing aesthetics but nothing too over the top. I like the lotus-ish looking light fixtures above each table. The server came and got my drink order as I looked over the menu. There's lots of offerings, whether starters, cooked dishes or sushi/ sashimi/ maki choices. I decided on an Orange Ball Roll and one of the specials on the white board, a *99 roll. If you get two specialty rolls it comes with a very tasty Clear soup, so I sipped on that as the chef made my rolls. The rolls were both very tasty and fresh, with a good rice to filling/topping ratio, in my opinion. My only gripe is just a picky one, I prefer my rice to be more moist/ vinegary, so that was the only thing lacking in my opinion. I got two more rolls for my friend togo, but haven't heard back yet how they liked them. I wish they had a happy hour special from like 4-6.

Best sushi in Mobile, and I have tried most of the restaurants. The quality of all of their rolls is consistently excellent (the spicy tuna is fantastic) and the service is friendly and prompt.

The place looked clean however I didn't visit the restroom. The atmosphere was quiet with an average vibe. In my mind, paper photocopy fliers of menu add ons taped to the walls is "average". My husband & I started off with shrimp egg rolls. They were really more like firecracker shrimp or cha gio cuon tom. They were ok but the sweet chili sauce slapped. I'm no sushi connoisseur by any means, I don't even eat the raw fish kind anymore. I just don't trust food suppliers & restaurants like I used to, but my phone asked for my review so here it is. He had a jag roll & I had a spider roll. The spider roll had only 6 pieces as usual which always leaves me wanting 1 or 2 more bites but such is the nature of the spider roll. The jag roll had 8 pieces. Both rolls were very good & exactly as described on the menu which is much appreciated. It's disappointing when the menu says the roll has something like cucumber or asparagus then there's not a sliver to be found. I don't care for cream cheese in my sushi so my choices were kinda limited. Speaking of this, Why do most rolls in most sushi restaurants in this town contain cream cheese..... WHY?? Anyway, I think the prices were a little high. I've had sushi at a few other places that was the same quality, in restaurants with the same vibe for a few dollars less. The restaurant is close to my house & the parking lot is easy in, easy out due to a traffic light so I'll probably be back anyway.

Sake & family serve great food. We love the hibachi. They make it to order. They are only serving dinner for now. We have been customers for over 20 year's since they were on Airport Blvd. I get dbl veggies & hubby gets dbl shrimp. ?
We are new to west mobile and are from the Pacific NW. We have tried several sushi places since arriving and Chef Sake’s is by far the best in Mobile. It’s some of the best we have had and we have eaten a lot of sushi in many states. Fresh, favorable and just firm right nummy. Be patient as they take a minute. We ordered takeout and it was worth the wait!!

best!! sushi!! in!! town!! i can’t fully put in words about how much i loved the place. truly phenomenal. from the soup till the unagi, soooo good to be true. the place itself has a very intimate setting which makes it feel so cozy. with some places, if the soups are bad then the rolls are good and viseversa. However, Chef Sake is simply the best and did a fantastic job at filling up us two hungry beasts. Please get their bang bang shrimp. Its crunchy but it melts in your mouth. I am not kidding. I’ll be coming back for sure.

The best sushi I 've had in town! The customer service was excellent. I had not been able to find good sushi and googled them. The food was fresh and prepared right in front of me. The atmosphere was nice and restaurant was clean. This is also close to my job so I will be returning often for lunch when they change the hours back. Thank you for your service!

Chef Sake makes the best sushi in this area…period. It’s not even close. Even if you think there’s someone better, you’re lying to yourself. If you haven’t tried Chef Sake out, you should do so immediately. I’ve been here enough over the years to basically own stock in the company. Try it out. You won’t be disappointed. Oh, and Chef Sake is a huge Bama fan. Roll tide!
