Gumbo was delicious, some of the best that I have had since living in New Orleans. Sauteed redfish with artichokes, green beans and risoto was recommended and did not disappoint. Missed having crispy crusted French bread!

We were visiting Mobile from New Orleans and decided to check out Chuck’s Fish, and wow, we’re so glad we did! From start to finish, everything was spot on. We kicked things off with the Brussels sprouts with bacon (highly recommend!), and then we had sushi and the filet mignon with asparagus and truffle fries. Seriously, everything was cooked to perfection. The steak was melt-in-your-mouth good, and the truffle fries were amazing.

Our waitress was awesome—super friendly and made us feel right at home. Plus, she surprised us with a free dessert to help us celebrate our 15th anniversary, which was such a sweet touch!

We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Mobile. Chuck’s Fish is hands down one of the best spots in town!

Found this place by accident when where we were going was closed. WHAT A HAPPY ACCIDENT!!! This place was AMAZING!!

Food (we had sushi): creative and delicious, all products tasted fresh.

Service (server was Mike): prompt, friendly, knowledgeable about menu items, awesome guy!

Atmosphere: very chill, young and experienced professional crowd, wasn't loud - could easily have a conversation at normal volume, decor was tasteful and minimal.

HIGHLY recommend to any / everyone!!!!

The triple tail special! The rigatoni! The kim che brussell sprouts! The white chocolate bread pudding! Our waitress Vanessa was perfect, truly a lovely host.

Small portions, big price it’s like eating a block of brown sugar. The reason the food rating is lower is due to the red snapper - while a small portion, particularly for the price tag of $44 it was delicious (ordered it grilled with the creamy sauce). I chose green beans for my vegetable and I was glad that I did; seafood salad $28 for small appetizers ( sounds like I'm dining in a Casino 5 stars restruante not in a local casual restaurant ) sushi was ok for $14 Veggie roll were not big. The drinks definitely overpriced for just regular glass of Chardonnay wine $11 and the house Gin drink for $13 , last time I checked I'm in Mobile Alabama not in a downtown bar in N.Y or Los Angeles which I travel to a lot due to my business investments which actually involve hospitality businesses I sure know excatly the markups, this venue is overpriced .

The wait for the food was 30 mins for the entree .

Service was great! Food even better. I had the shrimp rigatoni. Recommend. Food was nothing but flavor flavor flavor!!! Get the Brussel sprouts appetizer. Delicious. Been to a few places downtown. This one stands out. Highly recommend for locals and visitors. A gem in Dauphine street you must go to. Looking forward to many more meals here. Oh the bread pudding. As a native of New Orleans, Chuck's gives many in the Big Easy a Big concern. A must.

The addition of the space next door made a world of difference in the dining experience. The food was fresh, excellently prepared and promptly served. The prices were less than the local competitors. Abby our bartender was super and very knowledgeable. The co-owner Chris was very polite in explaining the photographs on the wall, the frames, the artist who rendered the paintings, and the history of the location and the owners. He also told us the story of his adorable mother who was trained in Japan (when women weren't allowed to become sushi chefs), how she came to the US trained US chefs and her recipes live on at Chuck's. Chuck's is model for what many local restaurants should aspire to become.

Great experience with the family all the way around. Get their Panéed Chicken entree. The chicken was delicious with their mashed potatoes and green beans that come with it. As an appetizer, get their donkey rolls with crack. All of the food was amazing, and so was their Guava Brownie we tried as a dessert, since we got it for a person who had a birthday today. Great atmosphere and music as well. Shawn, our waitress, was also a great and chill guy. Highly recommend a family dinner here, especially for birthdays.

Vegetarian options: Salads, and a ton of other sushi and appetizers are meat-free/vegetarian.

This place fills my heart with happiness; it’s my favorite spot to visit. Here's something I've been keeping to myself for years — shh, it's a secret! There's a special "REAL" sushi dish that isn’t on the menu. If you love sushi bursting with savory flavors, always prepared fresh, you're in for a treat. Please, don’t mess this up for me. I'm only sharing this because I'm concerned about your taste buds. So, whisper to the server that I would like the Donkey on c___! (It rhymes with "back.")
Disclaimer, it's sharable but I'm not sharing anything, lol. Judge me after your first bite.
