The Service was fast and friendly, but the food was just ok. I tried the shrimp poboy and although the shrimp were very large they were cold and not crispy and the bread was more of a hotdog bun than poboy bread. Chili dogs were great though.

I remember sitting on an old picnic table outside the DEW DROP over 70 years ago, drinking a big bottle of Coke with my Dad, Chris Bailey Jr., my Uncle, Kenny Crow, while they enjoyed several beers while visiting with friends.
Today, I brought my friend, Andy Carr by with my son, Chris Bailey IV, along with Joe Alberstadt, to enjoy a delicious Dew Drop hot dog, some fries, onion rings, and a cup of Gumbo, before he heads west for Yuma, on a new job assignment.
We loved the food & Thanks for the memories!

For reasons unknown to me I had never eaten at the Dew Drop. I worked near there years ago and I have often visited Mobile, Alabama since that time but never ate there even though it is locally renowned. I finally gave it a try this Christmas Season. It did not disappoint. Their renowned Hot Dog was unlike any hot dog that I had eaten before. It was so good, I ordered a second one. The steak fries were so superior in quality and taste than what establishments serve. The tea was just right - not too sweet. The staff were hardworking and great. As a bonus two toddlers in highchairs were fun to watch because they seemed to be enjoying the place so much they were not fussy. The staff was very courteous & friendly to their moms and the babies. The parking and entrances can be deceptive . It's difficult to park in front however there are two side drive entrances that can take you to the rear where there is plenty of parking space not visible from Old Shell Road. It was an overall pleasant experience with great food. I personally don't mind paying for quality like this. Nothing is worse than paying for food that is horrible or sucks that can barely pass for pet dog food which is becoming more common. The Dew Drop clearly has a higher standard.

Best place to get your hot tongs. Especially an upside down dog of where the weenies on top, and all the Goody stuff is, underneath that way, it doesn't spill off the hot, tall, the when's are actually boiled in beer. Some of the best food that you can ever find located near mobile and firmly on old shell road.

Prices have increased tremendously. But dumplings were good. The others had the burgers and they liked them. Service was excellent
