Came here for lunch because I had heard ao much about it. They were out of at least 2 of the sides at about 12:45 pm. To me that seems ill prepared. The brisket was disappointing. It had a nice smoke ring, bit had nearly no flavor and it wasn't what I would call tough, but it certainly wasn't tender. Possibly a cheap cut of meat. Portions were big and sides they did have were good. The service was the best part of this experience. Our server was super attentive and friendly. I may give them another try because of the great service and see how the food is.

Some good damn barbecue. Classic wood interior with coupled with belt busting food makes for one happy customer. Most of yall already know but for those who don't, get yourself over here and try it. The food is tender, the sauce is tangy, and best of all its nice and calm.

Waitress named Jutta was so nice! The country atmosphere was cozy. The biscuits, the hot cakes and sausage absolutely divine. Brisket delish! Highly recommend !

Went to Mobile Alabama and tried Dick Russell's Barbecue.
When i got seated a nice server made me feel welcome. I told her it's my first time. She suggested the special of the day dumpling and even suggested the burger.
That should've been my clue that the bbq might not be the best.
Barbecue sampler was mediocre ,dry cuts of brisket pork cuts were lil better.
Flavor is just sauce slathered on the meats. I couldn't get a real sense of flavor per sample of meat
On the bright side ... Servers were excellent
Atmosphere is oozing with country vibe.
I might give it a second try on my next visit.
