Expensive but worthy of the splurge.
Best damned Poptarts ever!
And their Croissants and Cinnamon Rolls are bomb too.
Walk two blocks over to Greers and get drinks, head up to their roof top seating and enjoy the morning.

I was looking at some of baked goods on display in the store. The brown butter cinnamon roll caught my eye. I also saw another treat but I don’t remember the name of it though. The woman behind the counter clearly explained to me what it was and named it. I looked at her and thought I was paying attention but can’t for the life of me remember what it was. I have a picture of it. If you know the name of it please let me know so I can commit it to memory.
Anyway, I bought 2 brown butter cinnamon rolls and 2 of the treats to be named later. I was not going to eat the baked goods by myself. I shared them with my family. I just know I wanted to try these particular items.
I cut off a piece of both to try. I can’t remember which one I tried first. I’ll say the treat to be named later was so good. It was covered in chocolate and it exquisitely made. It looked like a work of art. My description of it is lacking because I have no words to describe it other than it exceeded my expectations. I believe it may have been a macaron type thing but I’ve never actually eaten a macaron.
The brown butter cinnamon roll was delightful. It was sweet but the brown butter gave it a taste like no other cinnamon roll I have had. I definitely want to come back and get more items to try.

Discovered this little jewel of a bakery today. Baked goods including croissants , both sweet and croissant savory sandwiches, all manner of cookies and cakes with creative ingredients like cardamom. Delightful people. They don’t serve drinks … but welcomed us to bring our own. Limited seating upstairs

One of the best bakeries in Mobile, if not the Gulf Coast - no hyberbole. Professional, charming, highly skilled. We ordered a vanilla-raspberry sheet cake (twenty-five or so servings) for a family reunion. Absolutely gorgeous, including gold-leaf embellishments. ☺️
Absolutely love every visit I make to Dropout Bakery! I’ve yet to make it in time for a Brown Butter Cinnamon roll which is at the TOP of my list! But I have had the absolute pleasure of having their peach cobbler croissant - SOOOOOO good- and their macadamia macarons - UNEXPLAINABLY GOOD! It’s worth waking up early and going to get what they have before it’s sold out!! Great service always from the young lady behind the counter, a quaint and homey yet clean and crisp atmosphere! Definitely a great place to be!
The best bakery hands down!!! Everyone who works here is so warm and welcoming every single time! Lacey and Will (the owners) have made this place into one of the best parts of visiting Mobile, I love this place so much!! The pastry’s are amazing and the variety is insane every week with new menus! Definitely a must if you ever plan on visiting downtown Mobile:)

They have such amazing treats! If only the customer service was just as good…they’re so rude! Lol. I’ve been there twice now and they’re just so snooty. I’ve heard from other people the same thing. Maybe they’ll get nicer? Saw them out at a midtown restaurant where they were rude to the staff…I think it’s just who they are as people? Who knows! 10/10 treats! 1/10 customer service

Ok we just stopped in on the Dropout Bakery and my only regret is that I didn’t find it yesterday because I was seriously craving good desserts. Anyways…just go and find out for yourself. It’s a very unique bakery as there are pastries that you don’t see in other bakeries. The owners were very personable and super chill laid back. We grabbed all kinds of goodies to go. The location is just a few minutes away from Dauphin St where all the restaurants and bars are located. They have an outside sitting area and an upstairs area as well. I highly recommend making a stop at the Dropout. I’ll be back next time I’m in Mobile for sure!!

I've ordered here for a few special occasions now. The cakes have been awesome every time, and the staff are super friendly and accommodating for a unique design request we asked for.
If you like biscoff cookies their cake version of that is probably the best cake I've ever had.

I walked in, was not greeted. A woman in the back walked past me, spoke to her dog. Then, she walked behind the counter, looks beyond me and ask the woman behind me, “what can I get for you today?” Really? It’s not 1959. ?
I wish they could be in West Mobile more often because they had such unique and tasty offerings!! It’s not often sweet treats look so beautiful and taste good at the same time!
I was very excited to try this place. I drove an hour from Mississippi, only to be disappointed. I got a chocolate croissant, tasted good, but small. The cappuccino cruffin had very little filling and basically was a croissant. The strawberry lemon pop tart was decent, not much filling. I got a chocolate chunk cookie. It was good. The blueberry lavender whoopee pie was flavorless. All of this cost me 50 bucks. Not worth the money. Most items are 6 dollars each, which you don't know, because no prices are posted. It's not horrible, not great, looks better than it tastes and if it were a little cheaper, maybe it would have tasted better. I should have driven further to Parlor Donuts in Pensacola. And just so you know, I am not cheap, but when you charge 6 bucks for a cookie or cupcake, it should be the best I've ever had. The lemon pistachio cupcake, which I forgot to mention, not worth the price. It's standard
