this place is pretty amazing. It is cash only unless you place an order to go or in house through the website and pay with card. Looked dark and uninviting. Sign on the door says if it’s locked ring the bell. Hmmmm. It was open and so we entered and saw no customers. Not a great sign. The sweet lady behind the counter-who I believe is the owner Ms. Julie-seated us and asked us what we want to drink. Space did seem a bit unkempt and a bit dirty. Table and menu were sticky. Wide ranging menu with Sushi, Japanese, and Thai dishes. I very much wanted sushi so that’s where my focus was. Wife doesn’t do sushi so she looked elsewhere. Chose to start with an order of Crab Rangoon which turned out to be a mistake. Just pre-made fried right from frozen with little filling and even less flavor. Don’t waste your calories. My wife chose the Shrimp Tempura entrée that include shrimp & vegetables. I went with a variety of sushi-Unagi nigri, Gator roll-fried gator!-, and The Red Dragon Roll which was tempura shrimp roll with avocado topped with tuna. After placing our order, we started to become aware that we were seeing no other employees around. No one cleaning, no one in the kitchen, no one answering the phone, etc. It turns out that due to lack of business and Covid mandates, she is the sole person running everything! She is easily over 60 and filling all orders both to go and in house. She shortly brought us a bowl of surprise miso soup which was just fine. During the not unexpected wait, a couple of people arrived looking to pick up online orders. And Ms. Julie was handling all of it. Eventually our meals were brought out. Everything looked great. Wife’s tempura looked fresh and hot. The shrimp were still tender and all the veg-potato, sweet potato, carrot, etc.-tasted great. She enjoyed it all very much. All my sushi was presented looking well made and fresh. The unagi was as good as expected (I love unagi!). The rolls were made with nice moist rice and well constructed, staying together when I picked them up. All ingredients tasted fresh-no fishy smell-and I enjoyed every bite. The only thing I found odd was that the gator and the fried shrimp tasted exactly the same. But I loved every bite. It’s a unique experience having one person do it all but she was friendly and efficient and the food was very good. If you are in the area and looking for this type of food, give her a chance and support local business.

the owner is so sweet and gentle! she makes sure you have everything you need. she also gave us miso soup on the house. the food tastes so home-y, i don’t know how to describe it. the interior is a little old but it doesn’t matter if the food is this good
