Food quality had dropped off a bit the past few years, this place used to be excellent, and it's still very good, but one of the highlights I used to crave there, the lentil soup, was bitter and burnt tasting with lumps. It's normally smooth, creamy and very delicious. I sent mine back and replaced it with a salad, and everyone else just left theirs untouched. The rest of the meal was great. It can be a bit chilly inside.
The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a cozy meal. The food is nothing less than amazing! Each dish is bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The service is prompt and friendly, adding to the overall excellent experience. I felt truly welcome here! Decor is charming and enhances the dining experience immensely. The pita was warm and soft, with delicious fluffy hummus and a flavorful fava bean salad The closest thing to being back in the Old City. Makes me want to go back to Maswadi: King of Falafel and Shawarma by the Damascus gate!
