Usually its great but last night was a disappointment! The salsa was spoiled! They brought another one and it was from the same batch! The beans and tamales were also dried out! They were also sweeping around us. More focused on getting out of there than good food and service! It was only 8:30 - close at 10! HOPEFULLY MANAGEMENT WILL SEE THIS! Last night I told 3 PEOPLE AND NO ONE CARED!

Birria is so flavorful, and the Borracho steak is delicious as well. Or Pollo Cancun if you like chicken and shrimp and mushrooms. The best part? You can customize your sides to your liking! I prefer frijoles charros (think of it as the Hispanic version of red beans, rice and sausage) and calabasitas (grilled zucchini and corn-you won’t be disappointed!!) instead of the traditional rice and refried beans.

It's pretty unassuming and a bit off-putting from outside due to the pretty closed off windows. The tamale was just alright, which makes sense for it being served at a resturaunt, and the burrito was delicious. Took home leftovers and they warmed up really well.
I loveeee La Cocina. Each and every single time I have went, it is always perfect. The food is delicious and the service is great. I've been going here for a long time and they've never disappointed. Any time family comes in town or I need somewhere to go to for a date and I'm really craving Mexican food, this is where I'm going. It's just something about the environment, it's small and personal but not overbearing. They make the food fast and with heart that you just can't find anywhere else.
