Great little restaurant kinda hidden in the 'Hill! We had a shrimp with pepper jelly and blue cheese appetizer, which was delicious. Wife had a shrimp wrap, while I had the grouper and shrimp on angel hair pasta. Unfortunately we ordered dessert, which we hardly ever do, as it was a cream cheese lemon pound cake. Once it arrived we both took a bit and realized it was store bought.
Place def deserves the 5 stars, but the waitress was a little chatty with the others there, so we waited a bit too long to order and to receive our check.

We encountered high prices, mediocre food, and and an inattentive waitress. Our waitress, the cook and another waitress kept a noisy, running conversation with each other yelling across the room. The place is the size of a crackerbox with no attention to the overbearing noise level as the cook and waitresses kept having a high old time with each other. Our party of four had a hard time having a conversation with each other. The music was too loud. The atmosphere was that of a messy, dinky bar. We will not be back.

We ate at MaGees last night and was literally “blown away” by the excellent meal, the ambience, the efficient service, the reasonable pricing, and the clean surroundings. The food was so well prepared and very tasty. It came out quickly and I ate nonstop. You must try the Grilled grouper. My wife had the Blackened Tuna and I tasted that too! Wow! The Chef is really cool . He came out and spoke with us. Whenever we get back to Mobile, MaGee’s is where I will be eating.

I can't wait to come back to this place! Incredible bar and grill. The selection of food here really surprised me and the service is fantastic. I was in the mood for a burger so I got the best burger I've had in a long time here but they have a far more sophisticated menu that I've ever seen at a bar before. It's like a 5 star restaurant but for people that like a relaxed atmosphere.

The staff and chef showed exemplary service. The food was savory and bound for a definite return. We had the surf & turf and grouper with mixed vegetables. Cheers for this little neighborhood jewel.
Check your receipt! I was recently charged over $60.00 for an original $11.00 charge which I am disputing with my credit card company. The owner needs to check the staff for this type of behavior which could not be a mistake.

They charge fancy restaurant prices and the food is subpar. For instance the side is a small bag of chips and a canned soda. The potatoe salad must be a an acquired taste because it was not it for us. Wouldn’t recommend.
