I remember coming here a few years ago and it was awesome. I guess they changed management or something. The service was fine. Inside was a little cramped but it was ok. The food came out suspiciously fast. I ordered country fried steak and my company ordered fried chicken and sides. It came out in less than 5 minutes. Which makes it obvious that it's not freshly made. The macaroni we ordered was very grainy and had a weird texture. The green beans were completely bland, no seasoning at all. Corn bread muffin was very dry. The country fried steak was fine as were the mashed potatoes. The prices are reasonable but I will not be coming here again.

The best thing about this place was the location. The service was subpar. We waited forever for drinks and the restaurant wasn’t even that busy. The food was the worst thing I had eaten my entire four day vacation. I had the shrimp and grits. They had no flavor, the collard greens were gross and the macaroni and cheese was disgusting. I also did not like the presentation when the food was brought out. The two side dishes I requested were macaroni and cheese and collard greens. The bowls of each side were on the side of the shrimp and grits dish and had fallen out of the dishes. It looked as if the waiter was trying to rush to deliver the food and it spilled out on the side of my shrimp and grits bowl. I will never be back.

This is one of my favorite downtown restaurants. It is country/soul food at its best. It's reasonably priced, and service is outstanding. They also catered our company Christmas party and it was fabulous.

Can't substitute certain things (even though it's the same price) Menu was a little misleading. Chicken fingers are actually just bone in chicken. Waitress was nice aside from her "nice try though" remark.

Good place to stop in at. It's got small diner vibes. They have daily specials and that's what we got. My kids got grilled cheese and chicken fingers. They seemed to enjoy them too.

These folk catered my birthday party back in March 2024. The food was excellent. The service was on point. Food for 50 people was ample with seconds and thirds and leftover. So very satisfied. We will use them again and again
