Outstanding welcoming service. Shrimp and grits was also good- not the most amazing I’ve had but decent and great value for the price.

Finished up with banana pudding which was excellent.

This is one of my favorite downtown restaurants. It is country/soul food at its best. It's reasonably priced, and service is outstanding. They also catered our company Christmas party and it was fabulous.

Can't substitute certain things (even though it's the same price)
Menu was a little misleading. Chicken fingers are actually just bone in chicken.
Waitress was nice aside from her "nice try though" remark.
