10/10. I visited the location months ago and was determined to go back. I went on a Sunday, spent less than $20, tipped and everything and it was worth every penny!! I got a baked chicken plate with three sides; mash potatoes and gravy, sweet potatoes and collard greens. Everything was so good. I didn’t finish the entire plate cus I’m full but I WILL finish it later. Service from everyone was fast and great!! I will be returning!!

Mary's has amazing soul food, huge portions, and the nicest people I've met. Together our group had fried chicken, sweet potatoes, cabbage, dressing with gravy, Mac and cheese, oxtails and gravy, rice and gravy, and lemon aid. Anything you get from Mary's is good.

I am not from Alabama, but I come here for work often. This is literally the best meal I have ever had here in this state. The staff was so kind and I left feeling like the food was made with pure love, heart and soul. I will go back, and I will tell everyone I know to try this place any chance I can get.

This was a gem while in undergrad at South and it continues to hold the crown for best soul food. I'm from Birmingham and there is nothing like Mary's around. The staff is always super pleasant and friendly. The restaurant is clean and the portion sizes are great. We typically get it our food to go and enjoy at home. The star of the show will forever and always be the lovely candied yams. Boy do I miss this place Sunday after church. I am thankful that I was able to reunite with Mary's during Mardi Gras. My parents finally tried and loved their dishes. I'm not big on ordering spaghetti at restaurants but Mary's did a great job. This will always be a place I visit when in town! Keep up the fabulous work and great food!

The food is pretty good. Kinda expensive ?, but pretty good. Everyone is always so nice, though. Very respectful.Parking could be much better. It's awfully hectic for the crowd/amount of people that come through there.Overall, ⭐⭐⭐⭐!!
They were busy but the line moved fast. Huge portions. Mac'n'chz was fantastic! Fried chicken was some of the best I ever had. Ribs were sooo good! Super nice people. 2 other 49er fans in line with me. Good people.

I’m HUGE on customer service, soon as my mother and I walked in we were greeted. That immediately put a smile on my face. I’m visiting from Tampa, FL and wanted some southern cooking so I found this spot on google and came because of the good reviews and pics of the food. Bebeee when I say this the spot! I mean just that!The food was fresh and hot, well seasoned, the portions are heavy ? and it was not expensive ?? (It’s hard to find good home cooked food at reasonable prices nowadays) Even the people serving the food had smiles and were very welcoming. The pork chops were thick and not dry ( the gravy to the chops ??) backed Mac and cheese was a little too peppery for me but STILL delicious. Everything was the bomb!I’ll be back again! Thank you for your hospitality and good cooking! God bless you all! ?
