Placed order online at Navco Pizza website. Order submitted, and my credit card was immediately billed $48.00 for the order. Wait for website to "confirm" the order, after a minute or two, the website (and an email) shows the order was "Missed" and cancelled:
"Order missed: You were charged when you placed the order but now the transaction was canceled. An automatic refund was initiated. It may take a few hours until you see those funds fully available again. In rare cases it may take several days."
So I check my credit card account, see the Navco charge was there, but no refund. I called Navco Pizza restaurant directly (twice), and their phone just rang and rang, with no one answering.
So I had to spend a few hours waiting for my credit card account to show the promised refund, which didn't come through until the following day. I wasted hours trying to resolve a credit card charge for an order that was never going to be filled, and missed dinner completely.
I see a previous reviewer of Navco described the same exact problem three months ago. The representative for the business posted a reply to that review that said in part:
"Regarding the phone calls, we apologize for not answering. Our team was indeed understaffed at the time, affecting our ability to handle calls and online orders efficiently. We are improving our staffing and communication to ensure this doesn't happen again."
That suggests to me they are aware of this problem because it has happened before, but it happened again to me.
In my opinion, it is not ethical to accept and charge credit cards for goods/services you are not able to provide. Not only are you delivering a bad experience to your potential customers, you are shifting the burden to them to make sure YOU refunded their money for something you never provided.
If you can't take online orders or answer the phone, then stop taking online orders and devote resources and staffing to at least answering the phone.

Place order online say order was declined but still took the money. Said I would be refunded asap but didn’t receive a refund. Wouldn’t answer the phone I called twice. My husband ordered dinner from Chinese place in area I asked him to see if order went through or not he said the man said he seen the order but was understaffed… but still open and making other orders. I place that order at like 6:40 p.m my husband walked in at 7:35 ish. You say you not taking orders why are you open and still fulfilling other orders. I don’t understand food is awesome but very unprofessional. Terrible service if you ask me. Also where is my refund? I don’t live in the area btw it’s a 20 minute drive and they won’t answer the phone.

Attempted to eat here on my hr lunch break.. Ordered the $5 pepperoni special, took 50 mins to get the pizza and it was a supreme. I asked for a refund and they said that it was an honest mistake on me bc I called it in as a special. I walked in to order.. Sorta confused by the great reviews..

We have been trying to find a calzone place since Valentino's closed and this is the best one by far. They load the calzones up with your chosen toppings and they go to town. So good. The service was great, too.

Fast and fresh! My personal 10" pizza was made fresh, when ordered and was delivered steaming hot to my hands. The restaurant itself is a great place for a quick bite when you are on the run. The $5 pepperoni pizza (special of the day) was bot the most amazing pizza I've had. The pizza was fresh made and hot. For the price, it was perfect.
Parking: Plenty of parking next to the piggly wiggley.

So I can remember when I was little my parents bringing home calzones from navco pizza for dinner and let me tell you they were so great. Fast forward 20 years or so later I decided to have a calzone for lunch. Well I ended up at navco pizza and oh my I was brought back to my child hood memories. It was great, navco pizza you have a new customer.

I heard it was National Pizza Day so I wanted to “celebrate” by having several slices. Navco Pizza had been mentioned to me in a conversation with a co-worker. I couldn’t believe I had never heard of it before. How many times had I passed the shopping center where it is. I’ve driven across Navco road many times not even realizing this restaurant existed. Anyway I decided to order pizza from them.Choosing what to get your first time at a place is really difficult. I usually go for a sausage pizza instead of a plain pepperoni pizza anywhere I order pizza from. I didn’t see a single topping sausage pizza I could order and I didn’t want to custom order either. Finally, I decided on the Navco Special. It had everything on it from sausage, pepperoni, beef, ham, bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, and olives. The probability that I would enjoy at least something on the pizza was high.I ordered the pizza and drove to pick it up. When I got there I only had to wait a few minutes. The person at the counter gave me updates on the progress. While waiting I noticed one person sitting down. I grabbed a Lagniappe and started flipping through the pages. As I stated earlier the wait wasn’t long at all.When I got in the car with my pizza I could smell all ingredients I named before. I was starving. When I took a bite of my first slice I realized I made a great decision. The pizza was hot and though the pizza was full of toppings they didn’t immediately fall off the slice when I bit into it. They eventually do as does with all great pizza but the cheese did a great job of sticking together. I loved all the toppings but for some reason the onions tasted the best out of all the vegetable toppings. I was not sure why the onions stood out but they did. The sausage on this pizza was some of the best I tasted on a pizza. I really enjoyed this pizza. I will definitely come back.
