My Mardi Gras organization scheduled a ladies luncheon and the men were allowed to attend in a separate area. When my wife and I arrived she went to her area and I joined the men. The men that were there had ordered food and drink already but had not received anything yet. Some other men arrived and took over the available high top. Myself and one of those men went to the bar to order and were ignored for about 10-15 minutes before the bartender asked us to be patient and she would come take our orders. I asked her if she would be able to wait on me at the 2 top that she had already taken the other gentleman”s order. She said yes but please be patient that the others had been waiting for hours. She quickly changed that to well not that long. I said ok and went and sat down to wait patiently. She finally brought all the drinks to the men who had ordered before me. She came to take the other orders and started with the high top that had arrived after me. The man at my table said ma’am he was here before them could you take his order. She replied aren’t y’all all together and I said yes but I was here before them . She ignored me and kept taking the high top orders. I left and will never return. She was obviously short handed which is piss poor management. This the absolute worst service I have ever had in Mobile. My wife and the other ladies experienced the same crappy service and by the time she received her food it was cold and she couldn’t eat it. She paid for it anyway. We will not be back and will let everyone we know not to go here. 😡

Stopped in to place a to-go order for a late lunch. Ordered the Bistro Burger with Yucca Fries and added on the orzo salad. So good! I was greeted immediately upon entering by the young lady working the bar, she took my order and offered me a beverage while I waited for my order. Even though she was doing double duty, she was so sweet and welcoming. Will definitely be back to sample the brunch menu.

We have found our new favorite place for dining in Mobile! Located in the quaint downtown district, the Penton's Bistro and The King Bleu Corner Bar offers an intimate place for excellent food, wonderful ambience, and very friendly, professional staff. The filet was cooked to perfection and the creamed spinach, which one wouldn't think as a dish about which to rave was delicious! The bread pudding was the best we have ever had and the cocktails were also perfect. We can't wait to return to Mobile so we can dine here again!
