Fantastic cake. It deserves its reputation. I will say one of the young ladies was kind of rude and blew me off when they could not find my order. But the other employee was so nice and helpful it evened things out.

Order a Birthday cake for wife. Received phone call that pick up time will be delayed, due to specification in the cake. thank you for notification😀. Also was informed they would give me a call when ready, no phone call. We call them. Please take this as good criticism. The cake tastes is excellent 👌 you owe me a donut 😂.

Do not listen to SAR’s review, I was personally at the store when she was being a horrible horrible customer. I have loved the cakes here and the new owners are awesome. Ash is THE best cashier at this location and always gets my order right. They have excellent cakes and other food items and is worth the buy. Love this place!

I would go to the Pollman's on Broad. The staff at the Old Shell location are rude. I just went to go buy cookies and I wanted the seasonal holiday cookies. I was never asked I just got a box full of birthday cookies. I never said I wanted that and asked to swap them out and another employee helped me while the original staff lady sulked. Just go to Broad or the tons of other places that sell desserts, pasteries, etc.

I have gotten baked goods at the old shell location a few times now and every time I am unimpressed. I have been going to pollmans since I was a child and at this new location everything taste different and not in a good way. The chocolate dobage cakes used to be fanominal and now they taste like a generic store cake. I thought it was just me but everyone in my family noticed it as well in the past two cakes we have bought. They also haven’t had the infamous petifors and cupcake/icecream cookies that pollmans is known for all three times I have gone in. Maybe their sandwiches are good idk but for a bake shop they are lacking on their baked goods taste and selection.

This shop has an amazing atmosphere that I enjoy coming into. All of the workers are nice and diligent. They are great at conversation and making you feel welcome. Bailey was the one who helped me during my visit, she got my items quickly. The dobash, chocolate cake, and cinnamon roll macaroon tasted wonderful. Definitely coming back!

Best bakery in the south. On 10/25/25 the cashier (faren) offered exemplary service. The cookies are always soft and moist...the brownies use real chocolate that you can taste...in early october they made raisin bread pudding that took me back to my childhood...do yourself a favor and treat yourself!!!

I had such a wonderful experience at Pollman’s Bakery! The food was absolutely delicious, the service was great, and the atmosphere was so nice. The manager, Bailey, was so kind and welcoming — you can tell they really care about their customers. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Food and service are excellent. Staff are very helpful. Reminds of the Pollmans of old. Highly recommend.
