This was hands down one of the worst fast-food experiences I’ve ever had—and trust me, it takes a lot for me to say that. I don’t like leaving bad reviews. I’m the type of person who usually brushes things off, gives places the benefit of the doubt, and hopes the next time will be better. And for years, I’ve done exactly that with Popeyes. I’ve been a loyal customer, coming back time and time again because I love the food and wanted to believe the experience would improve. But this time? Enough is enough.
I went through the drive-thru, tired from a long day and just wanting to grab dinner for my family. Instead, I sat there for well OVER 30 minutes waiting for my order, watching car after car pull away as the line barely moved. Not once did anyone come to the window to apologize for the delay or offer an update. No acknowledgment. No courtesy. It felt like my time didn’t matter at all.
When I finally got my food, I felt my heart sink. The bag was a mess—soggy and falling apart from sauces and juices leaking everywhere. By the time I got it home, everything inside was cold, soggy, and unappetizing. I wanted to set the food on the table and enjoy a meal with my family, but instead, I was cleaning up a greasy mess in my car and trying to shake off how irritated and let down I felt.
What hit me the most wasn’t just the sloppy food or the long wait—it was the complete lack of basic kindness. Not a smile. Not a “thank you.” Not even the smallest sign that the staff cared about the people they were serving. I’ve worked in customer service before, and I know how tough it can be. But there’s no excuse for treating customers like they’re invisible.
Popeyes says “Love That Chicken from Popeyes.” But after this experience, can you love that chicken from Popeyes if the service is crappy?
I’ve stayed loyal for years because I truly enjoy the food, but loyalty only goes so far. When a place repeatedly shows that they don’t value their customers, it’s hard to keep giving them chance after chance. This isn’t just about one bad night—it’s a pattern, and if this is the standard Popeyes is willing to accept, they shouldn’t be surprised when even their most patient customers finally stop coming back.

Went to Popeyes at 6:20 Saturday June 21st they messed up on my order no spicy chicken no peppers didn't get the mashed potatoes and gravy
While I was in the store today they were moving extremely slow I understand that things happen that cause other things to slow down however this was not the case when one of the employees pass by the front counter after 3 or4 of them come from the back with I don't know what they were doing I told her that I need to order I'm very hungry WITH A SMILE AND CHUCKLE and then she said and I quote, "I don't know what to tell you hmmph" with a nasty attitude and walked away. I was there for 30 minutes just to get two 3 pieces. That was horrible wait time. I waited all that time and my food wasn't even hot, it was just heat lamp warm. It's a damn shame that I've been a customer for all these years and this store up here in Tillmans corner calls me to not even want Popeyes ever again.

Apparently this store does NOT know how to include the side items or dipping sauces with the meals. Store manager completely disregarded my complaint and offered no solution except to give me attitude for their mistake

Ordered online an hour ahead of time and arrived to a 45 minutes wait. What is the point of ordering online to have to go inside and wait another 45 minutes. There were at least 6 workers present and they were not in any hurry to help anyone.

I do delivery service and went through drive thru to get the order (my fault for not going in in the first place) there was only one person waiting at the window, I said the order I was here for, I got the drink and they told me to park for the food. I did so and waited for 10-15 minutes before deciding to go through drive thru again, I said “hey I’m here for (customers) order, I have the drink and was curious about the food?”
In a very annoyed tone the worker said “it’s not done yet, I’ told you I’ll bring it to you when it’s done, I didn’t forget about you”
Okay, rude but whatever, I go back to the parking spot and wait for another 15-20 minutes before going inside where the food was already bagged up and had been sitting for who knows how long.
They weren’t insanely busy, a car or 2 every now and then. I get that they’re probably working with minimal people and that when I got the food they said it had to be taken off the truck so they were dealing with food delivery at the same time as regular work hours but the attitude seems uncalled for and the time it took to cook 1 chicken tender meal seemed a little much.

we come here ALLLL of the time and nearly every single time we are missing food or our order is completely wrong. they never answer the phone so you can’t even call to fix the issue. we’ve waited for an hour once just for us to not even get everything we ordered. their attitudes are always horrible when you come in to fix their mistakes. i work in fast food so i understand how stressful it can be, but i also know bad customer service when i see it.
