Food was delicious (particularly the fish), arguably the best food in Mobile! Hidden gem you must try!

I wanted to share feedback regarding my recent experience at your establishment. My sister and I arrived at approximately 9:05 PM and were surprised to learn that the kitchen was closed. This was disappointing, as your posted hours indicate the restaurant closes at 10 PM, and we have previously dined after 9 PM when the restaurant was still serving guests. What made the situation more concerning was the lack of initial communication. After making eye contact with multiple staff members, including the bartender, no one informed us directly. Instead, a young lady approached us later to explain that the kitchen was closed. While we appreciate her effort, it would have been more courteous and professional for someone to greet us upon arrival and clearly communicate the situation. As a restaurant manager and food blogger, I often recommend establishments based on prior positive experiences. I have previously ensured that your restaurant was a great choice, which makes this experience particularly disappointing.

Food and drinks were great. Beef tenderloin was absolutely delicious and was definitely a top 5 dish for me. Service was subpar. Had to flag down our waiter just to even greet our table after having been sat for 15 minutes. There was a well known local sat at the table next to us and our waiter was giving them ALL of his attention. We were barely checked on. This is a super tiny place and very few tables. There’s no excuse for poor service and being practically ignored.

My husband and I decided to try something “new” to us. We had heard of Pour Baby but did not know what to expect. Start to finish…superb!! Ron was our server. He welcomed us to his table and told us it was ours for the night! This introduction allowed us to relax and enjoy the remaining spectaculars of the evening. Beef Carpaccio, Autumn Chopped Salad, Fresh Catch Entree, and Buttermilk Pie!!! It was a continuous flavor celebration. We WILL be back. We WILL bring friends. We WILL request Ron. It was the PERFECT dining experience!

Pour baby is not just wine, it’s great food as well. My husband and I had a charcuterie board and an appetizer as well as wine. The chicken martini and chicken and grits were perfect! Light, but very filling. Our waitress was Madelyn and she chose my 2 glasses of red wine. They paired with the cheese and meat and my entrée perfectly. I highly recommend pour baby. Side note, it’s a great low key, laid back vibe, casual attire, smaller seating area. Call for reservations ahead. Ask for Madelyn, she knows her wines and food paring
