I got dragged in by all the hype in the marketing on the description of the place, but was totally disappointed. I wouldn’t call this anything like a nice deli. It’s all right. If you just wanna fill your stomach definitely no gourmet experience. prices are good but it looks like the quality of the ingredients or whatever you can get out of the freezer oh, and the bathroom smelled like pee. My wife won’t be coming back for that reason only.

How in the world, after going back-and-forth to Mobile for so many years, have I missed this jewel of a place? Delicious food, prepared in a timely manner, very attentive and courteous staff, overall a pleasant experience, definitely will dine there again.
That was a terrible excuse for a roast beef poboy. The rice and gravy was bland. The baked beans were straight out of a can. The field peas were funk. I'm surprised this place is so highly rated.

They charge their customers a fee for using a credit card but don't tell their customers. As usual, must have been a woman's bright idea. At check out he literally said one total $ to my face as he handed me the bill which had another total $. The charge receipt does not itemize the cost of the meal, nor the tax, nor the additional charge for using the credit card. Not to worry - I left $0 tip. Small portions. Too much salt in the food. High crime area.
