This was our first visit to the Trellis Room. The decor and ambience is elegant, comfortable and inviting. Our cocktails, entrees snd dessert were delicious - a meal to remember!
The hotel has a restaurant because they need one. That is the only reason this restaurant exists. No one local has any reason to eat here twice. The service was fine, even with one waitress, because there were only three tables occupied. Food was straight up dismal. “Short Ribs” were just slices of meat. I don't even know what kind.
We went to celebrate our 25th anniversary and the staff was so sweet. Our waitress, Hannah, was very attentive. They gave us an anniversary card and a dessert to celebrate. Our dinners were delicious and cooked perfectly. We have been here for other special occasions and we will be definitely be back.
Food and service was excellent! Was a little scared after ready Yelp but we really enjoyed our meal. Had the grilled romaine salad and Lasagna. Wife had grilled romaine and scallops which she said was excellent.
The restaurant is located inside of a beautiful lobby of the Battle House. The hostess was extremely courteous and helpful with information about local attractions. The waitress was super efficient and a pleasure. She made sure that everything was just the way we wanted it. i'd recommend this place and I'd go back there again.
Hannah did a fantastic job serving us. The food was fantastic. I highly recommend the fried risotto. Everything was fantastic.
Delicious buffet, charming staff, and cooked-to-order breakfast, including the best pancakes ever!
Jennifer was our server and could not have been nicer or more accommodating. It's easy to see why she was voted *1 ! The food was delicious, the decor was beautiful, and the ambience was most pleasant!
The food was well-prepeared and well-plated. The atmosphere, based on the setting of the hotel itself, is almost worth the price of admission. Staff were attentive and friendly as well.
The dining room was basically empty at 7 pm. It was an absolutely beautiful room as was the hotel. Staff was attentive but really did not react much to our comments on the food. One drink was fine the other awful. We were not charged for the bad drink. We had two different entrees and both were overstated to the point of being inedible. Definitely would not recommend the restaurant. The hotel however was beautiful!

Ordered the short ribs with cheesy polenta and broccolinni. It was average. Actual short ribs had good flavor, but polenta was mixed with the gravy from the shortrib in an iron skillet and polenta was basically swimming in liquid gravy. Broccolinni was severely undercooked, not soft at all. Atmosphere is nice as the restaurant is in the Renaissance hotel. Went here to celebrate anniversary with my wife, and Hannah our server wasn't very good. 0 drink suggestions, 0 food suggestions, never offered dessert, we had to ask for it. It was obvious she didn't want to be there. She was more interested in doing her closing side work instead of being attentive. We expected a better experience for our anniversary dinner. We probably wouldn't ever return and I definitely wouldn't recommend. There are restaurants in the area with better food and more attentive service.
Wife and I both had the petite tenderloin filet. You get 2 about the size of a crab cake. Coked perfectly. The accompanying vegetables were so tasteful and plentiful. It was a great meal. However the 'bread' left a lot to be desired. Was not expecting such a spicy taste and together with the tomato garnish was just too much hot taste. A good focaccia with olive oil would have been better. A spicy taste will ruin a good whiskey taste. Still a great meal.
Great but tables are on the smaller size of you are going panning to bring iPad for business meeting
Everything was fantastic. We enjoyed the special cocktails. The food was great as was the service.
My husband and I love this place and ALWAYS make a point to stay at The Battlehouse when anywhere near the vicinity of Mobile—mainly because the bartending team and servers make you feel like you’re in your home away from home! Akin and Mallory provide warm, friendly service, and the food is delicious!
