The food, service, and atmosphere at The Cheese Cottage is amazing. My family and I stayed the night in Mobile and needed to get dinner at 7 pm. I found The Cheese Cottage on a search and saw it closed by 8 pm. I called and asked if a party of six could stop by at 7:30 and Rose was very welcoming. Mary was our server and suggested the Mushroom soup of the day. My wife, daughter, and I had the half grilled cheese and soup. The mushroom soup was delicious and the specialty grilled cheese sandwiches were the perfect combination for a cool spring evening. Our other children had the pizzas which were also good. The outdoor seating under the patio is quaint and location is close to downtown Mobile. Pricing is affordable and easily matches the quality and quantity of food. We are glad we stopped by. Thank you.

We had some spare time while visiting Mobile and decided to walk down to try it out. It turned out to be a great decision. There is plenty of outdoor seating (which allowed our dog to join us).The staff were great and we were impressed with the board we ordered (the ploughman). We do wish that we had ordered a bigger board, only because the cheese, pickles, honey, and salami were so good! We would've liked to try more of their cheese offerings in particular.It's definitely worth a visit. If we find ourselves in Mobile again, we'll definitely be back!

Great atmosphere around downtown Mobile, a darling cottage with a great punch of flavor in every bite. The cheese selection is incredible and the pickles are to die for. Make sure you take some with you on your way home. We took some Vampire Slayer Cheddar and a jar of pickled Green Tomatoes. Yum!

Everytime I through Mobile, I have wanted to stop at The Cheese Cottage. I finally made it and WOW....it was amazing. Downtown historic area was cool and sitting outside on the patio was nice.I had one of the many cheese boards and a pizza. The goat cheese w/rosemary and honey was the best but the dragon cheese was a close 2nd. I will be back to try the rest of the menu.

Beautiful little restaurant. It's all outside so be prepared for that. They only do brunch once a month but we were still able to get mimosas! It was very cute and food was delicious
When my son suggested we eat at this place, i thought it was going to be just sandwiches. They were not your ordinary sandwiches. We got a variety of sandwiches and plates. Everything was great. We will definitely be going back. The waitresses were excellent. They kept checking on us to see if we needed anything. You eat outside, so check the weather before you go. I forgot to take pictures because I was overwhelmed by the food. Sorry, maybe next time I am in Mobile, I won't forget.

We weren't greeted, barely acknowledged, so we ordered our food to go. Took so long to get our food, we decided to eat there with our to go boxes. The waitress refused to wait on us and we were totally ignored. They had a plastic water bucket that stayed in the hot sun all day to help ourselves to complimentary water. Yuck! But no service, no cold beverage. Wouldn't go back, rude service!

Love the food and wine choices. The staff is super. This is really an outdoor venue with about 1/2 the tables under cover and most of the others under umbrella. So prepare and dress for the weather.
