We had one extra person at our table and asked about getting another chair or a bigger table, and the waiter was so rude to us, and so dismissive that we just decided to get up and leave and went to a different restaurant. I can’t really talk about the food because we never ate any. We were so, put off and upset by how rude the staff was.

This was one of the few places open early afternoon around 4pm, which was one of the only times my wife and I were available to have a date meal. This met all expectations, it was not busy (at that time we had the place to ourselves), food was delicious. I listened to the recommendations from the waitress and was not disappointed. We had the biscuit service, marinated crab claws, pulled duck and grits, wine. Highly recommend. Location is odd, seems to be just another house in a neighborhood, parking is available in a little lot nearby.Parking: Small parking lot around the back and side just a small bit down the block.

We met some friends here for dinner tonight. Excellence from drinks to dessert! For starters we had the crab claws and yellowfin tuna. Both were perfectly cooked and delicious. My old fashioned was spot on. My wife had the chicken pot pie and really enjoyed it and I had what was probably the best crab cake dish I’ve ever had. It was lightly breaded and full of fresh lump crab meat - absolutely recommend this dish!! The grits and sauce are served with the crab cake are phenomenal! I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. We will definitely be back!

Ambience 10:10 was good, very relaxing atmosphere and nice taste in music.Service 9:10, was very good, attentive server.Food 8:10, removing meat from the duck (leg quarter) was a major PITA using cutlery, but it was tasty.Too nice a place to go caveman on the drumstick.Seve a damned breast portion, easy to cut and eat so I'm not almost repeatedly at risk of slinging a bowl of grits across the restaurant.Everything else was excellent.Wife's fish was superb, great fresh oysters with a phenomenal champagne and sherry sauce and don't miss the Biscuit Service.Protip: Request more butter and cane syrup for biscuits......................We will return and do recommend to others.

Green tomatoes hard and not cooked inside. Wait staff arrogant and snippy. Very overpriced. Slim wine pour by wait

Small, quaint eatery. The service was great, but the food was just terrible. We had a large party (about 20 people), and not a single person liked the food. It was chaotic. They held food until everyone was ready to be served, so the food was warm/room temperature when served. Just a bad experience. Again, the server did a great job handling that many people. They knew we were coming, so this was not unexpected. We also had a preselected menu. No excuse.Very small portions for the cost.Parking: Had to park inn the street.

We just happen to find this restaurant by googling local restaurants near me.And we are glad we did.We went about 3:00 P.M. the restaurant was not busy. The atmosphere was great. The decor was pleasing to the eye. Along with the music. The menu had a nice variety to choose from. The server was very attentive. The marinated crab claws were delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant, it's off the beaten path, well worth it.I will definitely be going back. Also the menu changes everyday, the chef made the effort to come by our table to make sure we enjoyed everything.

The steak (cooked med rare) was very tough and not flavorful. Probably worst I have ever had. The vegetables and potatoes were great. The marinated crab claws were ok but the larger ones were tough as well. It is a lovely restaurant but we will not be revisiting as the food was SUBPAR.

Tried Hummingbird Way for the first time last night, and it certainly won’t be the last time. Allan provided impeccable service. My sister has celiac, and he and the kitchen were so accommodating with her allergy , giving her a double order of the risotto so that she could have a full meal. I ordered the crab cake, and it was hands-down the best one I’ve ever had (and probably will ever have). Mark and Thomas are rockstars in the kitchen. It’s obvious to me that the team at Hummingbird Way cares about providing a unique and memorable experience to every single person that walks through the door, and that’s really special. Thank yall for the incredible meal! Already looking forward to my next visit.

The vibes were immaculate! Had my birthday dinner here earlier this month and I was blown away. Food was tasty. The drinks were incredible. Our server was so kind and knowledgeable. The owner/chef came by to check and tell me happy birthday. He also took the birthday cake my best friend got me to the back to cut it himself. I would love to go back.

Basically just stunt food. Looks great in pictures but to the tongue it's pretty much a disaster. Had the dumplings squash soup which would have been excellent had there not been any green onions to overpower the delicate flavor of the soup. The casino oysters were a textural nightmare. Good flavor if you don't mind plain bread crumbs dumped on top. The wedge salad is advertised as romaine but delivered iceberg. Which was ordered "not grilled" because high heat turns lettuce into a rubbery and chewy wilted dog treat. The "cocktail sauce" that came with my order of murder point oysters was nothing more than plain ketchup. The hangar steak and hash wasn't bad. But I wasn't feeling the expense vs experience of the entire restaurant. Given the experience, quality of dishes and verbage of the menu wording I'll go far enough to say that this place is nothing more than an advertisement for a fine dining experience that doesn't even deliver the advertisement, much less the experience.
